“Convenient location is only thing going for this hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2008

Great location at Sacramento Airport, however rooms are poor quality and walls were paper thin. I could hear the conversation of the guests in the next room as if they were sitting right next to me. Also when I encountered a problem the response from the staff was ambivalent at best. I left my favorate sweatshirt in the room. I called the next next day to ask the staff to set it aside so I could pick it up when I returned. It was not turned in to the lost and found. As I am positive I left it in the room as I wore it to bed that night then didn't have a sweatshirt in my suitcase for my trip...I can conclude on of two things. The cleaning staff kept it (I know!) or they didn't want to be bothered and threw it away. (I know!) The staff wasn't interested in helping me further or particularly polite while I was trying to track it down. Even though the location can't be beat I won't be staying here again.

“This is What You Get From a Monopolist with a Great Location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2008

The Sacramento International Airport is located well north of the city. There is nothing in the vicinity and nowhere to stay, except this hotel -- which is right at the airport, across the street from Terminal B. I have stayed at many airport hotels. Some are decent. Others have a real attitude about them that goes with their position as a monopolist. In other words, if you want to catch that 5:00 - 7:00 am flight or you get in at 11:30 pm and you do not live in the immediate area, you have little choice but to stay with them and, like the old Lily Tomlin send-up of the telephone company, they don't have to care -- and they don't.

The rooms are dingy and passably clean. The bed and bedding are passable. The television, toiletries and bathroom facilities are as basic as possible. The breakfast is continental and as basic as possible. There is no restaurant on the property. And if you want to park and fly, they will charge you more than is charged by the long-term airport parking lots. And if you are late due to a flight delay, they will charge you another day for parking. Nice. As one reviewer mentioned, the front desk service is indifferent, almost rude.

So this hotel should be taken for what it is; a neccessity for people who do not live in the area and who are on a very early morning for very late night flight. Don't expect to enjoy the experience but, then, that is not why anyone stays there in the first place.

I should also mention that the hotel suffers from rate creep. The rate seems to go up every time I stay there.

If this place did not have the great location I would rate it as "terrible." Otherwise, the location bumps it to "Okay with some problems."

“Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2008

The best thing this hotel has going for it is the location. It is in the airport right across from terminal B. You can literally walk to the terminal from the hotel. There is nothing that makes the hotel stand out other than the location. Also, be prepared to pay a premium for this convenience. Better hurry though; the hotel is scheduled for demolition this summer to make way for an airport expansion.

“Ideal for early flight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2008

We stayed for one night at the hotel because we had an early morning flight the next day. The Hotel is located directly across from terminal B and a 5 to 10 minute walk from terminal A or a short shuttle ride. Its extremely convenient! The room was clean and had a large queen sized bed which was fine for our one night. There was a continental breakfast which was available at 430am when we checked out.

“Does its job: hotel inside the airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2008

This hotel does its job. It is located inside the airport, within easy walking distance of Terminal B, and a 5 minute bus ride of Terminal A. It's a great place to stay to make sure you catch the first flight out in the morning.

The bed was comfortable, with high thread count sheets. The free continental breakfast was up and running at 4:30 a.m. Free use of the computer in the lobby to print out my boarding pass.
Easy check in and check out.

On the down side: very small TV in the room. No hotel restaurant, just vending machines, but then again, the airport and a wide choice of restaurants is across the street. And you're not staying here for the food.
