Things that you will want to know:

Accomodations were adequate and clean.
Location.... seemed good to me. The plus to me... Freeway convenient, easy to find. Next to a Steak house (Marie Callenders' grade, I think), Monterrey Canning Company (I believe) was to the north of the hotel and both were basically a parking lot away distance wise. There was a 7/11 type store 1/2 a block away and a McDonalds 3/4 block away. So, within a short distance you could eat or pick up something to eat.
Within a block or so, it became very industrial.. So, its not a destination location.. but, if you have a car.. it was fine.
The hotel is located next to the freeway 5 and I did hear trains at night. We were close to the lobby, so we didn't have freeway noise.
I understand that there was a pool and a spa there although I didn't use them. I did see the pool.
The price was under $70 a room per night and so I found that to be quite economical for the location. The location appeared safe to me. However, I did drive across the street to the convenience store at 8pm, not because I didn't feel safe, but because I didn't see any other pedestrians and decided I'd rather be safe than sorry. It was sort of a mixed bag demographically. Primarlly a little more diverse than I'm accustomed to.
Everyone that I came in contact with in the immediate area was plesant and polite.
The hotel offers a Shuttle Service to and from the airport. They also have a nice breakfast with a waffle machine. They have a computer in the front office and permit you to print your boarding pass at no cost. I believe any other printing there may have been a fee.
We had a nice stay.. Marya and Ambrosia were most helpful and very sweet.
They have a disabled room.
We did have 2 plumbing problems our room. One was attended to within a short period of time, the other one occured the morning of our departure and I didn't report it until we left.
There are things that could be improved, but on a scale of 1-10.. I would give them at least a 6. It was a good, clean, comfortable stay.
Overall, the hotel looks like a Motel 6 conversion.. nice appointments on the inside, exterior door entrances.. So, old style Hotel, but freshed up a few years ago I would guess and affordable. If you want a more FULL experience and the hotel is a huge component of your stay, then this probably won't work for you. If you just need a place to rest your head at an afforable price, this will work better than fine. Also, they have a refrigerator in our rooms. Nice sized Refrig which was new and clean!
Free Parking and they also offer a Park N Fly Package.... Might be a great value there!

For 75 bucks on a late Friday night (in desperate need of a place for night before flying home from Sac Airport) this was a good deal. The night staff was excellent and the room was clean and about what you would expect for the price.

The only issues I had was the TV wasn't working well (which probably would bug me more if I was staying longer) and the breakfast in the morning had some issues (Coffee ran out - real messy and no food left at 9am when it closes at 9:30) but again - this wasn't a deal breaker just a slight annoyance. And quite honestly, it would be nice if our fellow travelers would be more respectful in these breakfast areas and clean up after themselves as well. :)

The hotel selection at Richards and 5 is varied and sometimes a crap shoot. It can be a dicey area at night but the Ramada has a well lighted lot and services conveniently close by.

I will stay here again and recommend the place for an overnight for the airport or as a convenient base for other activities or visiting in the area.

We were visiting Sacramento for a couple of days to show out of town family around. The location was perfect for the sites we visited. Minutes from Old Sac and MId-town. The room was clean, the price was inexpensive and the staff was very helpful. Plus, breakfast was included!

I stayed here after a very long 3 day cross country drive. My intent was to spend the night and take the shuttle to the airport, and fly home. Without going on and on I highly reccomend staying here.
