For the most part, the room was clean. The area is not the best and there is not a lot of food options. When we stayed there, the website advertised free shuttle service to the convention center. There were multiple families from our group staying there, so we asked about it. At first we were told there wasn't enough people. Then when we told them how many were there, they said that it had to be scheduled in advance. When we mentioned that it didn't say that on their website, their reason was that they didn't have a driver. The shuttle service mentioned on their website was definitely false advertising. It is an okay place to stay, but you could do better for your money.

This is an older style motel/hotel with rooms open to the parking. The rooms are a little dated, but clean. Our room had a coffee maker, but only decaf and tea, a microwave, and a fridge. We knew the shuttle wouldn't be available for our requested 4 a.m. departure for a 6 a.m. flight and so we booked a taxi. The desk clerk, Montreau?, was particularly helpful, checking on the taxi and making early morning coffee--we were too early for the breakfast. The taxi to the airport cost $35, including tip. Even including this cost, the room rate was substantially cheaper than those hotels offering a 24 hour shuttle.

Our biggest disappointment, having stayed in the area before, was how the area has deteriorated. Two of the local restaurants are closed, including the Rusty Duck where we have had some excellent meals, and surrounded by chain link fences. The overall impression is of severe economic decline.

I arrived to find that the posted 4:45 AM shuttle time was not available on the park and fly package. The desk clerk contacted the manager who was not willing to come in to shuttle one passenger and offered an airport shuttle instead. The shuttle picks up at mutiple hotels and requires I leave one hour earlier at 3:45 AM. I could have driven to the airport from my home in that time! My whole goal was to save time and expense by staying close to the airport at a hotel that offers a reliable shuttle service. This one is not the one! The room was also noisy from traffic, stuffy unless loud air-conditioning was left on (in late October) and I had to move furniture to unplug a noisy refridgerator. I would not recommend.

Stayed one night prior to early flight. Hotel is easy access from I-5. Did not notice any freeway noise but our room was on the opposite side of the hotel from the freeway. Room was clean. Staff was pleasant. Only complaint was with shuttle service. We wanted to turn in our rental car the night before to avoid early morning traffic. Hotel charged us $10. Shuttle in the morning was free. We have stayed at numerous hotels with airport shuttle service and have never been charged for the extra trip.
