Located in North Sacramento, about 15-20 mins on the freeway from downtown. Very easy access from the freeway. Lots of shopping and restaurants in a newer shopping area very close by. Stayed here New Years Eve, 2011. 2 Adults and 3 teenagers. Arrived very late, after enjoying New Years Eve in old town Sacramento, (on the way back from Palm Springs). We had reserved a non-smoking room with two queens and a pull out, but when we arrived the only room of that type available was a smoking room. Front desk assistant apologized and promptly and happily provided 2 separate non-smoking rooms that accommodated us, for the price of our original 1 room. I judge customer service by how a business handles problems when they arise. This could not have been handled better. As for the hotel, the rooms are in excellent condition. The hotel is about 5 years old, but the rooms are relatively spacious and appear to be in almost new condition. Bathrooms very clean and modern. Wi-fi was free and fast. Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was typical of that provided by Hampton Inn's, which is to say very good given it is complementary (kids love the waffles). If you are looking for a comfortable, modern hotel in this class, you can't go wrong with this one.
