Impressive high building with spacious lobby area with friendly staff and in good downtown location.. Offered choice of floors so no Priceling penalty here. Chose high floor on recommendation of previous reviewers and was not disappointed with the views. Other matters were however not so Grand. Wall paper in bedroom corridor was old fashioned and showing signs of age. A 1 inch gap between the bottom of the bedroom door and the floor meant that noise was an issue with passing guests both late at night and in the early morning. Very small pool area and mostly shaded from the sun.
Reasonable breakfast for 17 bucks in Morgans - offered numerous refills of coffee but we were drinking tea!
Not a bad hotel but certainly not Grand.
