Stayed here for a conference at Shriners. Initially I was really annoyed by the lack of empathy demonstrated by the front desk person when we could not check in early after driving for 8 hours straight AND having a VERY restless 3 year old. But in his defense, he probably could do much AND I was exhausted by the drive, so i might have been a little sensitive at the time...maybe? I think it's also just the patronizing tone of voice or "too bad" attitude that's given off that makes it soooooo irritating! Also, room walls were horribly thin and could hear EVERYTHING! If you want silence, this may not be guaranteed. During our stay, there were a whole bunch of families there for an AYSO soccer tournament. So there were kids running up and down the hall throughout the day. I have a 3 year old son, so I didn't mind too much, but most would probably not be too happy. The two good things about our stay...WiFi and the food at the bistro was good. The only negative part of the restaurant was the attitude and service of one female waitress. Don't remember her name, but she was the only white lady serving with a constant deadpan or irritated facial expression...luckily the food made up for it. The other inconvenience, was the current construction happening...it's kind of claustrophobic in there too. Granted, the pic of the new design looks promising though. If you have a conference or something for business to attend, the location is awesome, though; for this alone, I would recommend to stay here. Just remember, as the front desk guy told me,...ma'am were not a full service hotel. Meaning if you go into the stay with the knowledge if some of these inconveniences, you may have a better experience.
