The first time my husband and I stayed at this Motel 6, we were on a spur of the moment trip to Sacramento and decided to stay. We popped in, just to grab an inexpensive room. That first trip (Sept. 2009) we got a large room with a balcony, big bed...it was a great room, better than we expected. The second time we stayed (Aug. 2010) we made reservations for a room with a queen bed. Our room was ground floor, pretty noisy on a busy walkway. The "queen" bed was actually a double (my husband is 6'4"--and we are not small people!) It was clean, but that is about all the good I could say about it that trip.

This past weekend, we gave them another shot. I made reservations for a king bed room. The bed was actually the size we expected. The carpet, however, was pretty disgusting, dirty and worn and stretched out and buckling in places. It was clean, but the bathroom was tiny, there were only two towels, and three pillows. The first time we stayed there were extra pillows in the closet.

While the price is right, and the location is really great--right up the street from Arden Fair Mall and down the way from Cal Expo--we will be looking for another place to stay next time. The first trip sold us on them, but the inconsistency since has been disappointing.

We are at the Expo every year for a week and have stayed for years at another property. At a frieds insistance we tried the Motel 6. From no heat, to no hot water (for more than three days on and off) the list goes on. Pool of course not working either. Carpets in room so dirty we had to wear shoes the whole time. Apparently there was a fire here last year and it is still messed up. On top of all that I was overcharged, manager out of town. Took me a month to track him down to discuss, and basically just called me a liar.

I've never stayed at a Motel 6 until now. Besides the excellent location, which is close to everything. I must say it doesn't feel like a motel at all.... if anything it feels like "Home away from home"... I've stayed for over a month and I really enjoyed it! The room was spacious, clean and I have no complaints what-so-ever! It was a wonderful experience! The people are fabulous! That's one of the many reasons I'd come back! From the front desk e.g. Sam, Holly, Gino, Susan, Soneil and the housekeepers ... down to the Security Staff. Thank you, for being here!

Wow, this isn't like any Motel 6 I've stayed in. Nice sized room, shower head tall enough for my 6'2" frame, plenty of counter space near the sink, and a separate sink with the fridge and microwave below. There are a few places where the finishing work is a little lacking, but they are truly insignificant. When the wireless didn't work, someone reset the server and it worked without any hangups from then on. The bed was just right and we had no noise (fortunately for us there was no concert at the fairgrounds). We both thought this was a great value.
