My wife and I stayed here last weekend in Carriage House 1 since the mansion is undergoing heavy-duty renovation. Be prepared to park on the street. There was no front desk, and you have to guess at which building is where the front desk should be. The staff are very nice, but management is clearly absent. No continental breakfast, instead they offered us "breakfast in bed" with our choice of quiche or quiche served at 8 AM. We are early risers, no coffee maker in room, so only tried this once and found out that it's not easy for two people to juggle what normally goes on a table. No table and only 1 rickety chair in the room, by the way. Room smelled slightly like mildew and had 2 or 3 ants on the sink at night - not unlivable, but not ideal. A generator or heating/AC unit placed next to our room kept us up for hours both nights, then a wedding party finishing up noisily kept us up for a little while more. My advice is to call ahead to find out if it's being renovated and look around the room before signing. Aside from all that, it's in a quiet location that could potentially be a nice romantic getaway if they fix these issues.
