Ugh, where to start. This was a disaster. To be fair, we were supposed to stay at the Roseville Courtyard, and even though I have a signed contract (group travel), they had no record of the reservation (signed by our manager AND their group sales director) and we were booted to the Fairfield. They ALSO lost our group block and lead to sheer panic the day before travel when I happened to call "just in case" bc they had so badly muffed prior reservations. Sure enough, we were lost AGAIN, and had to take five rooms that were NOT what we ordered.... queen/queens (four people to a room) but Kings + a tiny pull-out bed. Ick. The front desk guy was embarrassed when one of our rooms was just *Poof* gone, and that member was holding her confirmation in hand from the hotel, so that was a bummer. His best advice was to 'go find something else'. I offered to share mine, and I went down later and he did find her a room, he was harmless but also hapless. Bc they lost our Courtyard reservations, they agreed to let our people go over to there for breakfast. Some of our group can't eat wheat, so proteins are key. That didn't happen, and they said they'd have hot breakfast for the weekend to meet our needs. Day one, that didn't happen, it was awful and we felt like we were being prima-donna-ish with the staff, and they thought we were crazy bc no one had told them of all that had come before. No wi-fi the whole weekend (it was broken), the pool had a weird gel-like slick on it, and my toilet overflowed the first day. Also, the housekeeper told me to hurry up bc I was late to check out. I wasn't checking out until the next day and again, I WAS WITH A GROUP. Also they put the bills of non-group members on my visa card. Is that enough? I was going to try to sort it out with customer service and not write this bc, naturally, they would make it right, but alas..... customer service said that they couldn't help with group reservation problems, and group sales wasn't even answering the phone, so after a few hours of trying to get satifiaction, I figured people ought to know what they are getting into with this hotel. I have email confirmations going back five months, I was certain that they'd comp this, chock it up to bad luck and move on. Nope. They just don't care. Haven't had this problem with Marriott before, usually quite helpful and lovely, but I won't **ever** book with them again. We are a traveling sports team, so we do see lots of places, and we aren't picky, but this was ridiuclous. DO NOT USE THEM unless you have a very low resting heart rate. -- Oh and the front desk person kept telling me to "Just chill out!, Just chill out!" in a high-pitced tone after the second time our reservation was lost. That wasn't super either. And the handicapped restroom on the main floor was locked, a key lock, not a card lock!!!!
