This hotel made me wonder how can they give you such a nice room for such a great price? The room is a compact suite, with full sized couch, nice desk and working area, huge comfortable bed, snowy white sheets, about 8 fluffy pillows, a refrigerator, a compact microwave, coffee maker, iron, everything. Shampoo and all of the little bottles, lots of nice towels, a full bath, immaculate.

Extremely nice receptionists, a small business center, free wifi throughout, a fitness center, a very nice pool, a jacuzzi, just everything you could want in a hotel. The only down side was that because it was so reasonably priced, there were a few people who were a little bit rowdy, (but not dangerous) but the vast majority of the guests were very nice and quiet.

Breakfast is very hearty and had very good variety. The lady who oversees the breakfast was very nice. Additionally, there is an evening reception with snacks which I did not attend. The office has cookies and coffee and tea, with the extras that make it pleasant.

I would definitely stay there again.

This is a very populated area, just go south and there are all sorts of resaurants and shopping centers. For the electronic buffs there is a huge Fry's right up the street. There is also a large 24 Hour Fitness right past Fry's

After staying one night at the Madison La Quinta in Sacramento [which you should avoid], we might be too enthusiastic about the Orchid, but we really liked it, and stayed three nights..

This is not a new facility, but it’s well maintained. We had a standard room at $71 AARP/Senior rate. For that rate, you shouldn’t expect to get the Four Seasons. What you do get is a compact well designed room, standard amenities, a hot breakfast, and an afternoon “reception,” which we skipped.

There were two big plusses for us. The room was clean. You could pull the bedding up to your neck and not think twice about it. There weren’t any mysterious stains on the sofa or chair, and the bath area was exceptionally clean. For a motel, the hot breakfast was very good and there was enough of it; scrambled eggs, potatoes [lukewarm], and a meat choice that varied daily.

Negatives: the TV is old and the picture poor. Towels were a little thin.

Staff is what staff is. Everyone was courteous efficient, and helpful, which is all you need. Lourdes, who oversees breakfast, was a pleasure.

Traveled with my husband for business. We have stayed at the Orchid Suites many times over the past few years (Travel & Vacation). We booked a Non Smoking Room and the minute we opened the door we were smacked in the face with nasty nicotine residue. We called the maintenance who sprayed and offered us another room. The room was perfect for my husband who is handicapped. We said we would deal with it. After a few minutes I became nauseous from the terrible smell. We complained and was relocated to a nicer smelling room (Of course somewhat smaller - no couch about the size of a walk in closet.) small and cramped. None the less they were accomodating. But we should not have to be inconvienanced by having a stinking smoke encrusted room passed off on us. (The maids know this room was smoked in). All in all we will come back to Orchid Suites for business but I'm too sure about leisure when I'm footing the bill. Room for improvement.

We were refereed to this hotel from the Marriott. The Marriott over booked this weekend and sent us to the orchid. This hotel has a great photographer that took some nice pictures. The pictures that was shown on line is not what the hotel looks like in person. I was very disappointed in the service and the standards of the hotel. Everybody seemed to be new, three days on the job. This hotels does have great breakfast buffet, and that is about it. I would defiantly hire the photographer that photo graph the hotel. I think that he photo shopped the pictures that was posted on line.
