Checking in was extremely slow and frustrating. The clerk did not understand how to honor my groupon and refused to honor the terms of the groupon "per her manager's instructions." Despite the fact that I had prepaid for the reservation through groupon I was harassed several times during my stay, and after checkout (once back home) to pay for my room. They did not understand how to process the advance-paid reservation. Additionally, we were not given the room type that was promised via the groupon, nor were we given our tickets for complimentary beverages for the evening reception.
I must say that the bedroom smelled clean, but not all things were working properly. The bathroom was very musty due to lack of ventilation or a working fan, half the TV channels didn't work, and the TV itself was in poor working condition.
The best thing about the hotel is the amazing oak tree in the courtyard. The truth is, this place has the potential to be a decent place, but it's not a place that I will give a second chance, even if I had a complimentary night stay.
