first off know that I am a very tough rater. This is the best rating I have ever given a hotel. I had the privilege of staying at the Roseville, CA Larkspur Landing for about 2 1/2 months. In this time I got rather close to several employees there ranging from Housekeeping to General Manager. My husband does traveling Commercial Construction and I (wife) travel with him. I had just got some horrible news of a family member's medical condition and many of the staff members were very thoughtful and often asked about how it was going. They could even tell when I was down and would ask me what was wrong. My husband was a big fan of the fresh baked cookies throughout the day and evening...oh and the french toast. I preferred the Tuesday and Wednesday Happy Hour Appetizers with beer and wine and nonalcoholic drinks. The appetizers were switcched up all the time and most were quite tasty. I spent much more time at the hotel and therefore got to know the staff better. There was Celeste (Office Manager), and David (Supervisor), Maggie (Hotel Clerk0, Heather (Sales Director), Patricia
( General Manager and Kristen (newly hired Night Clerk)who entertained my Granddaughter and actually enjoyed it.. Maintenance was swift to answer your call and correct any problems and the Hpusekeeping staff was very friendly and reliable. I felt very comfortable and at home there. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends. Oh, and the room was recently updated and quite comfortable, especially the bed. I would however recommend that they add a few essential cooking utensils, as it is an extended stay hotel, like a cheese grater, wine opener, sharpened cooking knives and a mixer.. They also need to be in the Larkspur Rewards Program. This is my honest review...great hotel!
