We spent four nights in the Good Nite Inn in Redwood City recently. The room itself was dark and obviously in need of a refresh. We were by the pool on the first floor, and we heard every time the person above us walked or moved a chair. We bought ear plugs for sleeping and they blocked out most of the noise.
The bed was suprisingly comfortable, but the bottom sheet we were given didn't actually fit the bed. After the first night of it popping off every time one of us rolled over, I went to the front desk and asked for an extra sheet- any sheet, so we could fix it ourselves. The night clerk told us there was a sheet shortage and the didn't have any extras. Charming.
There were signs up all over the place telling people there were to be no parties (but there were some anyway) and that if you left food in your room you WOULD get ants. Way to address the ant problems there Good Nite Inn.
Internet was $4.95 for 24 hours and worked fine, it was pretty fast even.
Parking was a problem, but there were so many people coming and going at all hours we were usually able to get a spot sort of close to the doors.
Overall I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay. It would meet minimum expectations for a quick overnight stay.
