“Not Even A Little Bit Nice.”

We stayed here because of the price and the location and because of some favourable reviews. Come on, people; that's just not fair to we unsuspecting travellers who arrive tired and worse for the wear! Yes, Location is great. Yes, Price is good. Front Desk: Nice enough. But: Went for a run in the early morning on the beach (beautiful), and someone entered my room and stole my phone. Yes! They Did! Front desk badgered the cleaning staff into returning it hours later (said they had "Found it on the nightstand" after we checked out. Uh, no. I checked the room three times. Housekeeping is atrocious. No pillows, un-made bed, toilet seat covered in ICK (sticky, gooey stuff and urine). Found assorted old dust-covered personal products under the bed (along with the tv remote: bonus!). Were awakened at Bar-Closing-Time by every other guest in the place. Loud! Party place. It's in such a great location. It could be so nice. But it is so not. Needs to be better managed.

Room Tip: Don't leave any of your things in the room while you are out.

“Amazing for the price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Right on highway so sounds of traffic, but didn't wake me up at all. It looked like most the other rooms had balconies but ours didn't, wish I woulda known to ask. We were staying in a two bed room with 4ppl total and only had 2towels. The room was spacious and so much room, but the bathroom situation kinda sucked; the sink is outside of room with the mirror and counter space so I had to wake everyone up in order to brush my teeth or wash my hands. There's no fan in bathroom, just a small window, that leads straight out to the walk way for the other rooms...I was just imagining what these ppl might be hearing or smelling coming from the bathroom. The room looked luxiorious with nice dark wood flooring and white plush bedding and everything was clean. We booked through Expedia and it was $59 a night for 4ppl (plus tax) so that was great to find so close to ocean. The redondo pier is about 3-4blocks walking distance and has plenty of food and fun, but there's plenty of other places closer, like chronic burrito, which is wee-mans place, etc. but on Expedia it said there was a wet bar, meaning an alcoholic bar in room, which there was not. The staff was great and even let me check out and get my deposit back when I was desperate to get on the road but the couple we were staying with we're still sleeping. Free breakfast is bare minimum but that's cool with me, it was still nice to get a fresh California orange and some Danishes for the road :-)

“Great Value, Clean and Comfortable”

Stayed here on New Years Eve. It is bare bones, but clean, safe and comfortable. Cant beat this place for the money. My friends stayed at the fancier Best Western down the road and I have to say I am glad I stayed here. No coffee maker in the room, but there is a starbucks half a mile down the street, so no problem there. We skipped the comp continental, as I would rather spend a couple of dollars and get starbucks, which is close. Parking is comp, and so is WIFI. I didnt spend enough time in the room to address the TV, but I rarely watch TV in hotels. Staff friendly and accommodating. I asked for a room with a nice balcony and they gave us one, although the only thing i would change is the ugly white plastic furniture on the balconies. The dirty white chairs are not very inviting. Other than that I would say that this is good value for the money. Towels and sheets were clean and bath amenities were surprisingly nice. I usually bring my own when i stay in motels and i was impressed. No gross bedspreads in sight, which is a nice touch as well. If you are looking for a one- two night stay, i say stay here and save some money over the fancier hotels in the area. Great value. Room was large.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor balcony room

“Simple, yet great for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

We stayed three nights at the Redondo Pier inn and found it pleasant, but minimalistic. There were no paintings or hanging art in the rooms, no tea or coffee, but found our beds very comfortable, the area quiet, and really enjoyed our stay. The TV had many cable stations, and there's free parking and wifi.

The breakfasts are nothing to write home about - no cereal, just fruit, oatmeal, and honey buns. There is a pool on the property and with its proximity to the beach, you really get a good bang for your buck (53 dollars a night).

One problem with this place is that they lost our reservation twice two days in a row. Doesn't reflect too well on their reservation management system, but we did find the staff to be very helpful with the problem.

In sum, for the price and features I think we would definitely stay here again!

“LOST AND LOVED THE STAY..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

I got a good deal on this room. It was a short walk to the beach and actual Redondo Beach Pier. Everyone was very helpful, we lost our car keys and had to stay another night and normally I would be upset. The convenience of the room and location made the extra day worth it, the staff worked with me and I got to enjoy one more night that I will never forget. Although there was nothing fancy about the place it had all I need + and I will go back!
