“nice enough but”

the rooms are nice and all but watch out for the pricing at HI and HI Express. When you book
online a few times they know who you are. They have some sophisticated programs that can among other things match a rate to you that you are likely to accept. Even if its higher than it should be. Sometimes you can get it to jog and give a better rate if you try later but it can tell
your IP address and who you are. The algorithms also use other criteria like the day and likely crowds etc but you should be aware of it. Get creative about getting a fair rate. For this place
70 in the winter weekday and 90 in summer is ok. Dont fall for absurd high rates.Go somewhere else.

“Stains...”

My wife and I took a trip down to California from Oregon and stayed in Redding for the night. Holiday Inns are always a safe place to stay. We checked in late and were tired from driving. The night staff was sleeping and grumpy. We apologized for being late and all we got was a scuff look. The room was nice, a couple stains on the pillow case, but clean. The room next door to us was busy... people going in and out all night long. The walls were paper thin. Over all, an okay place, but had a bad feel about the place. Poor experience.

Room Tip: Great location to the Freeway.

“not such a good experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

I would be reluctant to stay in a holiday inn again. When I arrived, the front desk person was on the phone for about 10 minutes with no backup. I got my room and the first night was fine. The second night when I got to the hotel around 10 pm, it was real cold outside and my key into the back lobby door didn't work. It took me about 15 minutes to get into the hotel. Of course when I got to my room, the key didn't work either. I called down to the front desk, was put on hold and then disconnected. I called back -- no apology! The maintanence person came up and opened the ddor and then volunteered to bring me a new key. That was the highlight of the service. In addition, the carpet looked very dirty and the shower water was warm, but not hot. I wasn't impressed with this hotel.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011 via mobile

We had a wonderful stay while in town for my brothers surgery. The staff was pleasant and very accommodating. The server at the restaurant was so sweet. The food was delicious. Front desk was very kind. The rooms were beautiful and very good size! I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

“Good basic stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011 via mobile

I was looking for a clean 3 star hotel in town. This fit the bill perfectly. Nice and helpful staff. If I could change one thing it would be to make the wifi faster. I had to be standing in the hallway to get fast download speeds which didn't help my business needs. The good us that hi-speed LAN via cable is there in the room. I would come back.
