I've stayed here once a year since 2001 during an annual trip to SoCal. The price and location are good and front desk is always a friendly and pleasant experience.
I'd felt the place had been deteriorating a little the past few visits and this time was my last stay at this motel based on the experience of this visit.
The dealbreakers on this trip were the following:
1. The smell of pot wafting out of room(s) along the back parking lot.
2. Noise from other guests during the night.
3. Several cigarette burns in blankets on both beds. The bedding looked tired and worn out and needs replacement. Nasty, flat little pillows.
4. The appearance of two police cars and officers attending to a room at the motel around 10pm.
5. Many "beater" cars in the parking lots.
While it is only my opinion, I surmise that some of the rooms at this motel are being let at weekly or monthly rates and the tenants are not what you'd normally expect in hospitality industry accomodations. There was some "shady" activity going on out front with cars pulling by and stopping briefly, then leaving after a brief interaction with an individual standing out front.
I feel that my personal property (car) is less than safe/secure at this location. My sleep was disrupted by noise and the bedding was not up to minimum standards. Overall, a disappointment and I will stay elsewhere on my next trip.
On the positive side, the room was clean and the bathroom had been renovated at some point in the past few years and was in good condition.
