“Convenient to I-5, Yet Quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

This is the second time I've stayed at this property, and both times I've had a positive motel experience.

In both of my experiences, the rooms are vary spacious - large enough that a low chest of drawers separates the rooms into lounging and sleeping areas. Not exactly a suite, but a family would not constantly be bumping into each other; ie a good "suite-alternative".

The beds have been comfortable, with decent linens. Very close to I-5, but removed enough so that freeway noise is imperceptible. Totally non-smoking rooms, and breakfast is provided.

Those are the positives, which outweigh the negatives. Our negatives are fairly trivial, and specific to our travel dates, I'm sure. We are frequent I-5 road warriors, doing the trek between the Pacific Northwest and SoCal. Our travel dates this time were between 12/20 and 12/28/11, so there were a lot of families traveling with adolescents over the holidays. This meant that breakfast was chaotic. In my prior experience at this motel, that was less of a problem. Also, garbage pick-up at 5am was jarring, but necessary and unavoidable.

In sum, this Comfort Inn's positives far outweigh its negatives, and not only would I recommend it, but I will look forward to staying there again when traveling through.

“Great Stay with/out pet”

The Comfort Inn was a great surprise. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful.
The room was large, in a suite configuration so my husband could sleep and I could
watch TV without disturbing him. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed with our
dog. The hotel is welcoming to pets which made the place a real plus.
We found the room to be very clean with all the conveniences (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker).
The front desk has coffee and tea around the clock in addition to the free breakfast.
The price was lower than other comparable places so we're definitely coming back.

Room Tip: We had a pet so we stayed on the first floor (required) close to the exit. Perfect for us.

“O.K To Stay”

I travel a lot for business. This Comfort Inn is a good spot in Redding. Room is clean. Very quiet which I appreciate....
Also front desk was very friendly..
No complaints other than hallway/stair carpets need replacing or cleaned. Also room carpets (310)
could use a good cleaning (or replacement)
Good Value. I would stay here again...

Room Tip: Choose top floor...

“Adequate”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

Have stayed overnight in Redding many times while driving the I-5. Stayed over the Comfort Inn for the first time. Large room with strange furniture arrangement making for cramped quarters. Room not all that clean with musty smells. We had a balcony room to allow airflow. After check out I found the Inn assessed $100 because the room smelled of smoke. Called the Manager to discuss the fact we are non-smokers and the room was musty. Escalating issue to credit card company. I will stay elsewhere in Redding as there are plenty of hotels closer to the freeway.

this Comfort Inn is a very nice place to stay. We loved their indoor pool and spa. The rooms was spacey and nicely appointed. The free morning breakfast has a lot to offer as well. Very comfortable. Close to good resturants and attractions.

Room Tip: This is one place where you might want to choose the upper floors, which have a nice patio overlooki...
