I recently stayed at this Hilton and I would have to say that their number 1 strength is their staff. Everyone I came across were very friendly and always said hello. The hotel itself is a bit hard to find due to some of the vegetation outside. There is plenty of parking and the lot was spotless. One block to the east is a place called "The River" and it has many fantastic restaurants and a movie theater. The lobby is large and it's only a two story hotel so the elevators were almost unnecessary. The room was very clean and in great shape. The bed was kind of old and lumpy but the pillows were to die for. The HDTV actually had HD channels! That was a nice surprise. The room has a small refrigerator and a microwave. The only downside to this whole place was the breakfast. It's $12 no matter what you get and I seem to recall there was only 3 items on the menu. For $12, I would walk a block and get a much better breakfast. Get back to the complimentary breakfasts with toast and bagels Hilton.
Room Tip: There is a big exhaust vent above the lobby. If you get a room on the 2nd floor above the lobby you...

Dear "wolfden,"
Thank you very much for your recent review of the Hilton Garden Inn Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage Hotel. I am thrilled that you appear to have truly enjoyed your stay. I am even more pleased with your experience with my staff. As a traveler, you have many choices of places to stay; everyone has beds, carpet, walls, etc...What other properties do not have is the AWESOME staff at this hotel! I believe, as do they, that when you stay with us, YOU are a special guest in our home and should be treated as such at all times.
Regarding your comments about our breakfast:
I would like explain a little further about the Great American Grill Restaurant and the, "All You Can Eat, Cooked-to-Order," breakfast that is available at every Hilton Garden Inn accrossed the country and world. I would also like to apologize that this was not explained to you properly during your stay and hope this will be helpful for any future stays. You are correct that the price is $11.95 per person, however that price includes the "All you can eat," Breakfast Buffet with Fruit, Yogurt, Oatmeal, Danish, Muffins, Assorted Breads and Cereals. Then we encourage and offer in addition, your choice of anything off of our "Cooked-to-Order Menu," to include: Large, fluffy, Belgian Waffles with assorted toppings, Pancakes, Omelets, Eggs cooked any style, French Toast, Assorted Breakfast Meats, Hash Browns and Unlimited Juice, Coffee, Tea and Milk. It truly is an amazing price for all of that. Also, a helpful hint for the future: The HGI Brand does not offer a complimentary breakfast however, if you inquire about the "Bed & Breakfast," package the next time you make a reservation, the price will actually work out to only $4.00 additional per adult for the room rate and you receive the full breakfast with that. It is quite a deal! Lastly, we do offer items available at an "A la carte" price. It is not something that we promote but do have available should you ever be interested.
Again, thank you for your time and feedback and I sincerely hope to have the pleasure of seeing you at our "Home" again very soon!
