I spent 2 weeks here with my Wife and 2 kids (8 months and 3 years).

We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite, and had a rollaway bed for the 3 year old. We were able to get the rollaway to fit in the bedroom, which meant we could get the kids to bed and hang out in the living room / kitchen area.

The kitchen is fully equipped with just about everythind you'd need (other than an oven).

The room was very clean, and the maid service was excellent, even down to loading and unloading the dishwasher.

The breakfast is excellent, with a variety of cooked and uncooked options, all of which is kept fresh and well-stocked by the breakfast attendant.

We used the pool and the gym, both of which were very good.

The free wireless and wired internet were very useful.

The one minor negative point is that our room was one of those facing the freeway (I50). Traffic noise was pretty constant. However, the noise wasn't intrusive enough for me to ask for another room.

I cannot say enough good about this hotel. I totally booked it blind based on the reviews I found online, I am from across the country completely, from NC, stayed 6 days and I have absolutely never enjoyed a stay more than this one. The staff is amazing -- especially kudos to Benjamin at the front desk who was never anything but professional and friendly and always smiling (and always working!) - but even the maintenance staff, housekeepers and the folks that prepared the food were so sweet! The pool area was immaculate, the food was absolutely amazing and so much more than I expected (breakfast and the "dinner", or social hour I believe they called the evening food), it was quiet, close to so much, looked so clean and just "put together". They had TONS of extras that I have never seen at another hotel -- stuff like a pool table, tennis court/ basketball court, shuffleboard game table, even umbrellas by the front door saying "take one if you need it". That kind of stuff goes a long way setting this hotel apart from just every other one out there. There truly is NOTHING wrong with with this hotel, and when I complimented any one of the many people working there on their facility, they all seemed genuinely happy to hear it -- pride in the workplace! AWESOME! Someone is doing a great job running this facility! Thanks for a fantastic trip and I hope to be there again soon!

For several years we had stayed at the Residence Inn Convention Center on Howe Avenue. This was getting nasty, because the pool seemed diirty, the bedding was lumpy, and the staff seemed to be apathetic. We checked out other RI's and chose this one for location. We stayed here both in 2006 and in 2007. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff worked in what was like a family atmosphere. The manager was very cordial, and the staff told us they loved working with him. He was very professional and accomodating. The breakfast food was great. The pool was an indoor pool (outdoor at the Convention Center), and clean. Both times we stayed there over Thankgiving Day, and the manager made sure there were pies at the front for all who cared to have some. Then he set up the Conference room for turkey dinner for staff who had to work. The one time we had problems, he came to the rescue. Our Wifi didn't work. He gave me several passwords and I tried everything I knew, but nothing worked. No problem, he led me into the office behind the front desk where I was allowed several times to confirm my flight, print out e-tickets, etc. At one point I asked him about Howe Avenue, and he probably said more than he should have, but his explanation made sense. Marriott wasn't happy with them either. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

As usual I have enjoyed Residence Inn - nice one bedroom suite, clean and comfortable breakfast OK - I did not like Sacramento - very little to see
