“Hotel Under Remodel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

person found this review helpful

This facility is currently under remodel.
I can't wait to see the finished product.
There is a large group of consultants that make this location their home for a long term project so the staff know us all.
I enjoy having the kitchen facilities in my room so I can cook my own meals and stay on my weight loss regime.
They do offer breakfast and dinner in the lobby Mon-Thurs but I rarely take advantage.
There is freeway access getting out of this location but not necessarily getting IN to this location. Once you have done it you are familiar with the route.
Many restaurants nearby but not necessarily in walking distance.
Walmart, Target, Safeway and other shops nearby.
Starbucks also in driving distance.
Nearby hotels are also, Courtyard, Hyatt, and Fairfield Inn.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the freeway

“Outstanding Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Our group of 9 stayed at this hotel for a little over two weeks. i can't say enough good things about Terry and his staff. They literally bent over backwards to accomodate us. The entire staff was extremely friendly, and helpful. We're from Alabama, and they let us watch the National Championship game on the large screen tv in the dining area. We hooped and hollered. Roll Tide!. But all was good.

I strongly recommend this place.

“Great service, comfort and more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

We visited this Residence Inn by Marriott for my Mom's birthday. As with most R.I.'s, it was an extremely pleasant stay. The hotel is located in a business park setting, so you pretty-much know it's going to be nice, because it caters to a business crowd. But on a Saturday, we practically had the place to our self. Expedia had rooms for $120 per night. I booked mine for $89 through the Marriott website, and had a choice of a king studio suite or a 1 bedroom queen suite, both for the same price.

For this visit we chose a third floor king studio suite. The king bed was heaven. The bathroom, living area and kitchen were very comfortable and well-suited. For a 400 sq. foot room, this studio seemed quite large. The flat screen tv offered a nice selection of channels, and the wireless high-speed internet service is free and very good.

We spent the afternoon at the indoor swimming pool area. And we had the pool and spa to ourselves for over two hours. The heated pool was absolutely perfect, and the spa was large and very warm. This provided plenty of relaxation.

The free breakfast is always great at Residence Inn. Plenty of selection, including hot and cold items. This blows away the free breakfast at just about any hotel. Service here is exceptional. When I went to The Market to pick up some snacks, I went to pay at the front desk, and the agent was busy with another guest. So a maintenence worker asked me if I'd like to charge the items to my room and took my room number and that was it. Really cool!

This hotel is located very close to Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova. It's about 20 minutes from Sacramento, and only about 90 minutes from Lake Tahoe. An ideal location for a quick getaway.

TIP: For a great meal, try Rudy's Hideaway. Just a few miles up the road, this place serves up the best lobster for a restaurant that's NOT on the coast. Great steaks, prime rib and a full menu of other items as well.

“Residence Inn feels like home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

I stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn for almost 3 months. Customer service is wonderful. Brianna checked me in late at night, and she even helped me with my luggage. Other staff members were as wonderful and helpful, such as Francine, Cynthia, Crystal, Victoria as well as the ladies in the kitchen and maintenance. I had trouble with two staff while I was staying at this hotel, and I spoke with Terry who took care of things pronto! In fact, Terry is very personable and easy to talk to. For any issues at this hotel, he is the go-to guy. He makes sure sky is the limit for residence comfort and satisfaction. Because of staff friendliness and accommodating attitude, this hotel’s comfortable atmosphere and I admit, I was never this comfortable in any other hotel, personable service, home-like feel, and great amenities with free breakfast; I will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future when I am in the area. It is also located in a new, safe, business district neighborhood of Rancho Cordova. Thumbs up with much appreciation to all of the hardworking staff at this Residence Inn. Mahalo!

“Nice hotel, expensive if you have pets”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2011

There is only one thing I would change: the pet fee. $75 per night for a pet is a bit much. Luckily we only stayed one night! The hotel itself is very nice, close to freeway access, eateries and shopping. I use a wheelchair, and while the room was not a handicap accessible room, it was large enough for me to get around in with my chair. When making the reservation, the front desk was very helpful, giving me a room next to the exit, which made it easier to get in and out with my wheelchair. Like I mentioned, the only disappointment was the pet fee. Non-refundable fee of $75 per night, on top of the $100 a night room fee. Add tax and other fees, well over $200 for one night. I will stay here again, but only if I travel without my dog.
