This was our first experience with LaQuinta and we were very pleased. We had great service from check in to check out. Our room was big with king bed, pull out queen for our son, clean bathroom, nice towels, desk area to do wi-fi, a balcony and a small sitting area. The room looked to have been recently updated. Beds were comfortable with lots of king size pillows. The complimentary breakfast was fabulous with juice, coffee, bagels and cream cheese, eggs, yogurt, cereal, muffins, and waffles with syrup. Best hotel breakfast we have had and plenty of it. The only thing we couldn't comment on was the pool as we were there in December. We would definately stay there again and recommend it to others. We also recommend paying the $5 more for the king room; money better spent than on fast food for sure.

Great price and a decent room. Very clean & quiet. Friendly staff. Room away from freeway so we had peace & quiet. Bed wasn't that soft but since we where so tired, it didn't matter much. Pleanty of dining choice very close by.

When you've driven several hours up the horrendous I-5 from Los Angeles and then along the mish-mash of interstate race tracks around Sacramento just about any hotel has some appeal.

We spotted a couple of hotels from the freeway and knew the La Quinta brand name; we figured it might be just a little cheaper than the adjacent Marriott (which chain usually does not take dogs anyway)
On a Sunday evening in March, most chain hotels are fairly quiet and La Quinta, Rancho Cordova was no exception. The receptionist was no dynamo but we got a AAA price and settled in to a ground floor room with french-door access to the rear carpark; ideal for dog to have a safe run around after the long drive.

Inquiries revealed that an adjacent restaurant sharing the same parking area was not what we really wanted and we were directed instead to a steak place (called Cowhand? or something similar, and about two miles away where we had a great dinner)

A good night's sleep was terminated by the fire alarm going off at 0645. Another guest had burned toast in the mini breakfast area.
So - an earlier breakfast than planned and on to the road again. The breakfast was adequate with reasonable choice of bagels, fruit etc

Stay again? Yes, why not.... the room was fine for the price; two comfortable beds, a working shower, cable TV.
Not spectacular but then we feel that many reviewers have unrealistic expectations.

Booked one night in Aug. 2006 through Hotwire for $48. We arrived around 1pm and our room was ready. HOWEVER, Hotwire books double beds and we wanted a queen or king; they accomodated us and gave us a nice queen bed. Our room overlooked the front entrance, so the freeway/interstate noise was no problem for us. The staff recommended Brookfield's, just across the parking lot for supper; it is also the HI's room service provider! Excellent choice! The room was clean and just your typical 3 star Holiday Inn. We would definitely stay there again.
