First thing, this is not a Comfort Inn, it is a Days Inn. We rolled up to this joint at 2 AM on the 22nd of October. We did not have a reservation. We discovered this place in a hotel coupon magazine. They were advertising a two bed room for $45.00 per night. We desired a pet friendly inn also.
The staff refused to honor the coupon saying the rates are different on Fridays. We secured two rooms on the ground level. This is a three level hotel and all rooms face the pool/patio area. The first noticeable problem was the interior walls of the rooms. They are pot marked and dingy. The carpet is well over due for replacement also.
The room is equipped with a small frig and microwave oven and these were old but functioned. There is a 27 inch tube television. The batteries for the remote were dead. The bathroom sink is located outside the bathroom. The commode was not secured to the floor well and I nearly tipped it over. The mattresses are very uncomfortable too. I found bugs in my bed. This caused me to itch for a couple of days, more a psychological thing.
At check out, an argument developed between us and the desk clerk. Because of all the problems with the rooms, we demanded a partial refund of the rate. I presented a few of the bugs I had saved from the bed. The clerk denied that they came from the bed. The clerk accused us of having four dogs when we had only three. The breakfast was severely limited in offerings. The hotel advertised a free breakfast buffet. This consisted of donuts, bagels, and cereal only. We did succeed in getting a refund of one room's rate.
