We made a reservation weeks in advance. When we showed up, there were no beds available. The clerk tried to give us numerous UNCLEANED rooms (wet towels still on the bathroom floor) and was ridiculously rude and sullen. There's a lot more to the story (we walked around the hotel with him for an hour and a half as he showed us room after dirty room), but suffice to say it was a terrible experience.

At the front desk the next morning I expressed that I didn't think we should have to pay for the room, but they demanded payment in full. I realized later that I had already paid in full with my reservation.

- They charged me TWICE for terrible service.
- They have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, yet
- Two months later, I'm still struggling to get them to refund my money.

I would NOT stay here again... avoid at all costs!

On 12/26, I called the Quality Inn hotel in Rancho Cordova, city next to sacramento), about a room. The dsk clerk quoted 59.99 of which I accepted. I asked for a reservation with a confirmation #, he said we are very slow tonight , just come in. I arrived @ 8 pm, the front door to the lobby was locked. Waited 10 minutes. Turns out the night clerk was somewhere in the hotel area and he had problems with the key cards of a checked in guest.


When I finally met him in the lobby, he asked to borrow my cell to call his superior. Took over 20 minutes for him to fix the initial problem and when my turn came, I mentioned about the rate and gave him my choice privilege # ( he gave me a blank look) This guy wasn't trained well enough to be put on his own shift.

Problems with the room include dripping faucet and the toilet flushes on its own every couple of minutes. We were so tired when we checked in @ 8 pm, we just wanted to sleep.

Next day upon check out, the morning guy name Ali gave me my receipt showing 85.00. After giving him my story, he said that it is not within his power to adjust and he will have to talk to his supervisor Lisa who will not be available til next week.( found out later in the morning that it was a new night auditor when I checked in)

Anyway, I would say: not only avoid this hotel but the whole Choice hotel chain.

At checkin, I was informed that the computer was down. The polite desk clerk photo copied my ID and credit card information and stapled it together with my printed confirmation. This was the procedure when I stayed at another property just a month before and the computer was down, and there were no problems. However, the next morning when we tried to check out, the AM desk clerk couldn't find any of the paper work. She threw papers all over, and kept making excuses. I gave her the benefit of a doubt by returning to my room, to wait for her call thus giving her time to locate my paperwork in privacy. She never called us. When I finally went back down to the desk, she was outside, talking on her cell phone, laughing, and joking with the person on the other end. When I asked her if she had found our paper work, she looked at me as though I was from outer space. She went back inside to the desk, started throwing papers around, and making excuses. Finally, she was able to print a receipt, and wrote FREE ROOM on it. After I returned home, I began monitoring my credit card, and discovered that I had been charged double. When I contacted the manager on the phone ...she started makiing excuses. I finally had to ask Choice Hotels Customer Service to intervene. For quick and easy travel, overnight stays on the road, I have found most Choice Hotels to be inexpensive and adequate, but cannot recommend this one.

The gentleman at the desk were pleasant enough, the young lady in the afternoon does at the a front desk cant understand English and is as dumb as dirt.

Between the piss in the stairway facing the street and the pigeon droppings the place was crap. Someone actually leaves food for the pigeons.

The internet does not work.

Unless you are dead broke ,avoid this place like the plague.
