My husband and I discovered this place last year for our shared B-day. Very cool. The room was clean, spacious, pretty nice view. Love that its close to a working wharf, and I spotted WHALES!!!! from inside the restaurant, and ALL the people in town are friendly and helpful!! Can't wait to go back ..same time next year. Would be great if there was a fabulous Spa with wraps,scrubs and massages! but the giant jacuzzi was nice:)

My mother and I planned a quick getaway from the valley heat and booked a night at the Wharf Master's Inn. The pictures on the website made it look more luxurious than it really was but it still was a very nice room. Our check-in was very quick and the clerk was very nice. The room was clean and spacious. I loved the jacuzzi tub and the linens were a very nice quality. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. The seats were plastic and a little uncomfortable. I think if they put some minor upgrades to this hotel it would be amazing. I think it was well worth what we paid for the room,especially when you compare it to any other hotel/bed and breakfast right on the ocean. The ice machine was not working and the heater was pretty noisy but those were my only complaints. I would definitely go back!

My husband and I stayed here on our anniversary. The decor of the room called 'romantic and peaceful' was not as shown on the website-- no four-poster bed, just a standard motel bed with headboard bolted to the wall; no fine linens, just dark patterned bedspread & pillows-- none too clean. I'd asked in advance that no room scents be used, and they complied, although the sheets & towels were strongly scented of floral detergent. It was quiet, fairly clean, fairly comfortable, and still probably a decent value for staying on the coast. My overall impression is that it was built/operated by someone else first and that now it's gone a bit downhill. I'd go to Elk next time!

We loved our stay and enjoyed the nearby amenities. We especially enjoyed breakfast at Trinks in Point Arena. The local food was evident in every bite. The couple at the next table were raving as loud as we were!
