We had the attic room, actually a suite with a large sitting room, perfect for reading books from their large library. The Innkeepers make you feel genuinely welcome. They have included thoughtful touches like earplugs (the house is on Highway 49 so you could hear traffic without them) and they ask about food allergies even before you arrive!Rita's restaurant recommendations are fantastic; we never would have found the fabulous Cafe Luna on our own. We'll be back!

We were looking for a romantic weekend, away from the bustle of the SF Bay Area, and definitely wanted a warm, friendly B&B experience. That we found at the Shafsky House. Rita and Stephanie's beautiful home was just what we were looking for. The attention to detail was superb, in bedroom and bath, and we loved the privacy and warmth of our room. We also loved that "Autumn" was appropriately being celebrated throughout the shared living spaces downstairs. Rita's gourmet breakfasts were inventive and so delicious that they started our days with smiles.

We felt very welcomed into this adorable home. Our room felt as though we traveled back in time. The bed was very comfortable and cozy and everything was clean and well appointed. The breakfasts! oh my, completely yum. Be ready to do a lot of walking to work off some of the calories!

We stayed one night with Rita and Stephanie who made us feel right at home and like we were family. The place has lots of charm and a scrumptious breakfast! We would highly recommending staying here if you are in the area.
