We were recommended to "The Shafsky House" by another B/B. We were so pleased they had availability for our two night stay. We were greeted by Rita and Lilly (the dashound), and shown the room that was available for our two nights. The house was very cosy and had a lovely feel with it.Rita was very interested in where we had been and what we were doing, and how she could help with where we were going. Our intent was to engage with the locals, and see the area to the fullest. She was a fountain of knowledge, and explained to us in minute detail how to get to the local attractions.
On our first morning we were given a breakfast to die for. What a cook!! It was exquisite. We also dined with two other couples, from the area, who gave us a great insite to places we could go in San Francisco, which was our next stop. This was invaluable information, and gave us a headstart to the next chapter of our trip.
Rita was also assisted by Stephanie, who shared her experiences with us, about the local scene.
I have to say, the kingsize bed in this B/B was great,so comfortable, and the sheets so silky and soft, with heaps of duvets. Certainly made for a good nights sleep, and neither of us needed any earplugs,(that were supplied), it was very quiet.
We would certainly visit again, it felt just like home.
