We came from Australia to LA then hired a car to travel up to San Francisco. Pismo Beach was a
nice reprieve from the bustle of the city so much so that we stayed at Sandcastle Inn for three days.
Easy walking distance to everything you will need - the deli in the main street is wonderful! The staff
were extremely helpful, waffle making facilities in the dining rm for breakfast were a hit with the kids
staying there altho we were travelling with our two adult sons. The cosiness of the apartments was
a big drawcard and the overall experience of our stay was all I could have hoped for. The Manager
and his staff bend over backwards to please you and cleanliness was top rate! Highly recommended.

First off Teri at the front desk is the best ever. I don't think the lady sleeps. She knew who we were when we arrived. Had us ready to go in a matter of minutes and all with a Super attitude and a Big Smile. Her stock is on the rise for sure. Every hotel owner would want her to work for them, no question.

The Hotel was great. I got extra kudo's from my sister and her boyfriend who also were there. My sister had booked a different hotel and I checked the reviews on it. Eeeeew! I asked her if she had read any of the reviews and she said no. So we all booked here at the Sandcastle Inn and had a wonderful time.
The rooms were off the charts nice. The Hotel service was everything you would ever need.
Breakfast downstairs, Bicycle rentals, Big outdoor Patio right on the beach, Quick walk to anywhere in town, Quite...
As far as we are concerned we will come back as long as they keep the same standard of service and prices.

This hotel has a terrific location, right on the beach and boardwalk at Pismo Beach. You are within walking distance (couple of blocks at the most) from all the shops, pier, great restaurants and lets not forget Harry's. (about a mile to the Monarch butterfly grove) The rooms are very clean and everything works great. We had an oceanfront King, the bed was comfy and we had a nice balcony, the room size was very average. We did take a look at their mini-suite and found them to be quite the bargan (Will definitley go with the mini-suite), it is easily twice the size of the standard room, with a double balcony, living room, pullout sofa and bigger TV and only about $30 more then our oceanfront King. The price was reasonable, but will DOUBLE when summer comes, so the King will go for close to $400 on weekend summer and the suite $479 a nite on a summer weekend. The price for non-view rooms are where you will see real bargains this time of year.

They have a free continental breakfast with some terrific malted make your own waffles and unlimited coffee 7/24, nice free cookies at nite. One very open jacuzzi right on the boardwalk, so no privacy. Third floor(top floor) where we stayed has a nice sunning deck if you don't want to get sandy. Although we did not bring our dog on this trip, next time we will. NO AC, they have fans, not that we needed them it in January.

We really fell in love with Pismo, such a cool little beach city. For location, cleanliness and beachfront access, it is clear we made the best choice for hotel accomodations in Pismo Beach.

We needed a January getaway, preferably with some beach time. Based on Tripadvisor reviews, I chose Sandcastle Inn. It turned out to be a great selection. The Inn's staff is friendly and efficient, the property is well- maintained, and the rooms are large and comfortable. The only quibble is that the bathroom in our ocean- front room was small. Still, the balcony facing the water more than made up for the bathroom. There was one additional pleasant surprise. After initially booking the room at a reasonable $179 a night, I went back on-line to see if the Inn offered free internet access ( it did). That was when I discovered a new offer posted. Sunday through Thursday you could book an an ocean view room for one night and get the second night free! I then learned in a call to the hotel, for $10 more I could get the ocean front room. What an outstanding bargain.
