My husband and I stayed here on Dec. 23 and 24, 2011. The rooms are typical hotel rooms, I did notice a bit of mold up high in the shower, otherwise it was clean. My only complaint was the extremely rude male clerk that checked us in. No excuse to be rude to paying guests.

We spent Christmas night at the Sheraton Sonoma County. I appreciated the free parking and complimentary wine and beer in the Club Lounge. The Club Lounge snacks were very adequate and could substitute for a light dinner. Mike was the server in the Club Lounge, and was very professional and efficient.
The hotel staff were very courteous and upgraded us to the Club floor with a view of the marina.
The hotel seems to be quite large. Even though they were at 70% occupancy, we had a quiet and restful night sleep.
I was very satisfied with the value and anticipate staying at this property in the future.

I stayed at this hotel on Tuesday this week and I think the hotel is beautiful but the customer service was not the best. Upon check in, I found a hair spray and a bag left behind by the previous guest in the room, I brought the items to the Front Desk and the guest agent just said “Thank you”. Even though I was not seeking compensation, there was not even an apology or any other guest recovery actions. Upon check out I was asked how my night was at the hotel and brought to the Front Desk agent’s attention the cleanliness issues to what she responded “I am sorry, Thank you for staying with us??? I decided to try this hotel because I will have to travel to Petaluma very often but based on this experience I am not coming back.

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night with a youth basketball team. Both nights they had Holiday parties booked in the banquet room directly below our room. On Friday when we returned to the Hotel at 9:30 their was a girl puking in the parking lot, another couple in the entrance was being escorted out by staff and yelling at them all the way out the door. A bunch of other drunks were plopped on the lobby furniture. On Saturday Night it turns out they had a D.J. dance party in the room
directly below us all we could here was pounding music at 9:40 I called the front desk they told me
it should stop at 11:00 it finally ended at 11:30. Was handed a breakfast voucher for the inconveince.
