For what I paid which was reasonable, the room was fine. I came for the IMATS convention with three other friends, we did ask for more towels and more pillows and that wasn't a problem. The beds were not the softest, but for the price I was okay with that. It's not fancy, but it's clean. The bedding was clean, however, I always bring my own sheets, but that's just me, I do it at the more expensive hotels also. I don't know what folks are talking about re the area, it was fine, I felt safe there it wasn't a problem at all; it was a packed house both nights we were there and everyone was quiet enough, there was no rowdiness. I liked it for the price and am planning to return in June 2012 for next year's IMATS convention. After I booked my room I looked the reviews and was nervous, but once I got there I was like "are those reviewers talking about the same motel? I don't get it." Again, if you want fancy go somewhere else, but for good value, this is the place.

terrible service, internet only works when you are outside - not in rooms, "breakfast" was toast and cereal, moldings were falling apart, the mosquito nets on the windows were not properly installed, manager was very rude - told us to leave due to us "complaining" so much - the complaining was that we asked to be in a different room as the first floor was very noisy, that the iron board was not installed properly, and if i could get a new shaver as mine was missing... never ever have i been told to leave.

I understand what I ought to be getting when I book a "budget" motel, so my standards aren't that high with that in mind. However, this place gives a whole new meaning to budget. The staff were not friendly for starters. Then we proceeded to spend an evening out of Boyz in the Hood. We were mocked, laughed at and harassed on our walk up to our room for merely being white. People were hanging outside of the rooms all around, sitting in the stairwells blocking the way, smoking doobies and leaving those and cigarette butts all over the walkways. You could hear pretty much everything the neighboring guests were saying and doing in their rooms all night. Our friends below us stayed up drunk-laughing, partying and screeching their brakes and revving their car motors till after 4:30am. Later in the morning, cops came and fist pounded the door next to ours. The pool is full view, front and center of all the leering, intimidating guests, so if that's not a problem, then swim your heart out. Breakfast was cereal only. The rooms were ok, not filthy, not nice. We left a day early so we wouldn't have to spend another night fearing for the safety of our family and our car. We headed back home to get the sleep we didn't get on our "vacation" Supremely disappointed.

I wouldn't stay here again. Pretty much the same reviews as others: bed was HARD, carpet was worn, bathtub---ugh! (very old, outdated, moldy-stained grout). We had a coffee maker but no coffee pot. We had an ironing board that wouldn't collapse after we put it up. A couple of the outlets (and there weren't an abundance!) did not work, so it was a "treasure" hunt to find a place to plug in chargers, the iron, etc. No bed bugs. The lobby "breakfast" offering was watered-down coffee, juice and cold cereal. At check-in the "business center" was pointed out to us as a feature (a PC and printer at a desk in the lobby), but the next day when I needed to print one page, the printer had no ink. Although we could not hear voices, it was easy to hear adjoining doors slamming throughout the night.

I would stay here again if the price tag were about $18.88/night. No more.
