A friend of mine and I just completed a 5-day stay at the Hilton Pasadena. It is an older property, but room was clean, staff was amazing, and I particularly, enjoyed the privacy and location of the pool for evening swims.

Close to all, and in our case, within a few miles of the Ambassador Auditorium, we partook of the onsite shuttle which provided transportation to and from our venue, making things quite convenient to say the least.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while visiting Pasadena. This property is close to Old Town Pasadena and convenient to all.

The hotel is very clean, it is very nice. Excellent hotel.

I stayed one night on business this week. I found the valet and front desk staff to be friendly and efficient. The hotel is older but clean. The room was pretty average. Nice TV, comfortable beds, clean bathroom. The fitness room gets a B-..i.e. slightly above average. It has some dumbells, three treadmills, a stationary bike, and three elliptical, as well as a precor weight machine. The cost, including parking, was $200 for one night. Overall, that seems pricey for an average, middle of the road, 4 star hotel. In other words, there was no "wow" factor. My suggestion for travelers is try hotwire or priceline...a room like this would be a good value in the $110-$130 range.

The room was clean and comfortable, everything worked, the restaurant was decent, valet parking was always prompt, and the bellman had good recommendations. And the view is great (I was on 14). My only complaint is that the door between my room and the person next door let far too much sound through -- more than I'd experienced with other connected rooms. And he wasn't being particularly loud. See if you can get a room that doesn't connect.
