Great location in Old Town Pasadena. Parking costs extra, but can enter hotel directly to your floor. Rooms are typical Marriott. Spotlessly clean, but a bit cramped with furniture. Free WiFi-- fast & easy to connect. The staff was super attentive upon our arrival and throughout our stay. Each employee greeted us and asked if we needed anything. They even give a small welcome bag upon arrival (water & granola bar)--a nice touch. Old Town is full of restaurants of all types, unique shops, larger high-end retailers. In the lobby there is a small coffee bar which also serves food. We didn't try it, but it is convenient to have it so close if needed. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The parking on the same floor as your room is handy (there is an extra charge). We enjoyed the proximity to Old Pasadena. Our room was large, quite comfortable, on an upper floor facing the courtyard and was quiet. The staff were responsive, professional and friendly. There is coffee maker in room as well as Starbucks in large lobby.

My husband and I looked for a Marriott for our recent trip to LA because we are Rewards members. This hotel was the best deal that we found.

The location is great. It is close to Burbank and Hollywood, and not far from Santa Monica and Beverly Hills (at least not by LA standards). The hotel itself is located in Old Pasadena, which is a very charming neighborhood with lots of restaurants, shopping and bars. We spent a lot more time in Pasadena than we anticipated because we liked it so much.

The room was nice, except that the sink was outside of the bathroom. I hate that because it always makes me wonder how gross that door handle must be. The sink is very small and there is not much room to spread out, do your hair and makeup, etc. At one point I grabbed a washcloth off of the towel bar above the sink and it came out of the wall. My husband told me that this happened to him too. I'm not surprised, since there is barely any room.

There is free wi-fi, but the signal was so low that I couldn't connect. There were also issues with the keycard -- you had to insert and remove the card in a very specific way for the door to open. Yet, we didn't have any problems using our room key to enter the building through the parking garage. Parking is $15/night and you can park on your floor.

The staff was very nice. The concierge gave me a lot of information about the light rail, which is only a few blocks from the hotel. The bistro was reasonably priced for breakfast except for the fact that they wanted $3.50 for a banana.

I stay in Courtyards periodically on business travel. For a recent personal trip to Pasadena, we booked there for two nights. The hotel gets a lot of use, and it shows in the wear and tear on the rooms. There were a number of things in minor disrepair - nothing to make you want to switch rooms, but enough that you can tell they're lagging in maintenance. We had a minor leak under the sink which resulted in a very wet backpack we stashed underneath overnight. The maintenance staff responded quickly, though I don't know if they found the source of the leak. Still, this is a reliable property. The attached parking garage is handy, it's close to the freeways, and the staff is consistently courteous and attentive. I would definitely stay there again.
