We stayed at this Inn while we were visiting family in Palo Alto. The rooms were ok, but ours had a terrible smell and we ended up requesting to be moved. The breakfast was average and the blueberry waffles were terrible. Overall, I would only stay here as a last resort. We are trying another hotel for our next trip even though it is not as close as we would like.

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed here during my son's visit to Stanford Hospital. The price was very reasonable, our room was huge, the breakfast was good, the beds comfortable. Best of all, unlike most Palo Alto hotels, it was set back from busy El Camino, so the room was quiet. I could take walks in the lovely neighborhood right by the hotel. The front desk manager was excellent--efficient, courteous, with a fine attention to detail. It was an easy ten-minute drive to Stanford Hospital and Stanford Shopping Center.

Booked a room for one night a couple weeks in advance. Had to cancel at 10:00am the morning we were supposed to stay there due to personal reasons. Hotel Manager was extremely inflexible and charged us for the night ($100) because we didn't call the previous day. They still had 5 rooms available when we called. He refused to cancel the reservation when requested and disconnected our phone conversation. Guess the customer really doesn't matter to this Quality Inn. We even tried calling corporate and they said they couldn't do anyting for us as each hotel is independently owned.

The rooms are rather small, but the fridge and microwave is convenient. Found a few hairs on the bedspread and in the bathroom, but otherwise the place was clean. The rate seems overpriced, but for the area it's the best deal I could find! It was sufficient for our visit to standford, close to the 22 bus stop to get to the palo alto transit center. If you are visiting and not spending a ton of time in the room, this works.
