I stayed one night, on Thanksgiving, 2011. I was not happy with the room which I found out needed maintenance and cleaning after I moved in. I just didn't notice everything at once and should have moved to another room. I gave the clerks at the front desk my complaint in writing thinking I would get some response. I was told to write them a letter, which I did. I got nothing back, as of today, 1/5/2011. They are not concerned about the customers. If you go to Motel 6 you might expect the type of room I got, but not at $199 a night.

Very quaint. Reminds me of 90210. HUGE rooms, some with kitchenette, some with kitchen, lots of space. Hardwood floors, VERY close to Stanford's campus

This inn has large rooms with nice bathrooms. The free breakfast buffet is good too. But the building is constructed from wood frame instead of concrete and the walls seem thin, so you can hear your neighbors even when they talk at normal levels. Our latest neighbor had just arrived from the East Coast and woke us up when he started talking on the phone to his colleagues at 4:30 a.m. -- he wasn't talking very loud so I couldn't really blame him. Staff is so-so -- college age, it seems, and some are friendly but others have an attitude. Room prices have gone up quite a bit in the past couple of years -- definitely not the value it was five years ago.

I've stayed at this hotel/inn for 6 nights in a big suite (I'm not sure which suite I was staying in). To start with positive things, the location was excellent for I was on a business trip doing work in Stanford Univ. Room was oversized and clean enough for me. I could hear the sound of TV from the room next to mine, but I've seen much worse than this. Even the road construction could not bother my night rest. Breakfast was average at best.

I've seen many complaints about the employees here. They were indeed very young, not really interested in you and not really pounded with kindness at all. They provided with minimal service: I've been asking for an airport cab, all they could do was giving me a phone number. I've said that I have a cellular phone from Europe, asking them if they could book one for me, and they refused so.

Now, I won't complain about this if this was a cheap inn, but I've paid 210 dollars per day. I've been expecting more for this amount of money. Missed chance, if this lady provided me just a bit more service, I'd been given this inn probably 4 stars.

My final verdict: think twice before you go there.
