I started staying in the Antelope Valley for work 2 months ago. I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn, and have been very happy with that decision.

The staff are very friendly, and willing to help with any problem you might have.

The resturant is award winning, and has well-priced items on the menu. They are only open for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a buffett, but also has the option of ordering from a menu.

The rooms are clean. And the smoking floors are seporate from the smoking rooms, which is awesome!

Stayed here for business. Extremely clean and comfortable. The whole staff is super nice and helpful. The bar is great, but when we wanted to go to the Yard House a few miles away, the hotel shuttle took us there and back without any problems. The internet is fast, the channels decent, and, again, it is clean. Everything in the room is well maintained (fridge, microwave, lamps, sofa, desk) and the bathroom shows no signs of wear and tear. No doubt I will stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room had two very comfortable beds with four pillows each and soft linens. The pillows are not full size pillows, but they were more than fine. The room had a microwave, refridgerator, large desk and a flat screen tv. The batroom is vey small, but since I was only showering ing there not living in there it was fine. Internet was free and easy to access. I did see that it had a pool, but I did not use it. It also has easy access to highway 14 and only a few minutes from the Palmdale mall and many restaurants. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to everyone. I only paid $89 for this room. I used the hotels site to book it because the charged the least amount of tax.

Have stayed at this HI in the past and was not unhappy with it. However, the last time was in 2007 and I found that the 2011 experience was quite different.
The front desk staff was adequate, but not experienced in handling issues with customer service (another woman in line waiting to check-in had a problem which she made quite audible to everyone nearby).
The room, 2 queen beds, felt dark and old, and, despite the fact that the HI is a non-smoking facility, I got a whiff of stale cigarettes (which I didn't quite identify until later on when I found a book of matches on the floor behind a window drape, that had one bent over burned match in it). I guess everything was clean enough, but the toilet had a paper sign taped to the toilet tank that advised users to "Hold down handle for a complete flush". I should also mention that the toilet seat seemed to be the cheap plastic kind, and it moved left to right easily - something to keep in mind if visiting the potty in the middle of the dark night.
The fitness room was tiny and, from what I could see, only had 3 pieces of cardio-equipment and nothing else. Exterior pool was small but nice. They make you pay for breakfast, which is ok, I guess, but their rates aren't any better than the neighboring
properties which offer that for free.
Truthfully, I wouldn't opt to stay at the Palmdale Holiday Inn next time. I'm sorry, but ewww..
