It costs a little more than the other motel type places in downtown Palm Springs, but the rooms are definitely bigger than average and I especially like the tile floor - much nicer than carpet since it is easier to keep clean. The beds were comfortable and the swimming pools, one for families and one for adults only are fairly large. They have an adequate work out room and an OK breakfast. The bath towels are really soft but the toilet paper is not soft at all. The room included a fridge and a microwave and a flat screen TV. Parking is plentiful and free. We tried two of the nearby restaurants we could walk to and they were both good. Rick's Desert Grill was excellent, especially liked the chicken tamale. Billie Reed's right across the street is a fun, family place with good food. We drove 10 minutes to a wonderful hike in Tahquitz Canyon trail (1.5 hours), and the convention center was a 7 min. drive. Also, the heat and air conditioning in the room worked great.

The room was not clean - the carpet was filthy. The fridge in the room looked like it had never been cleaned. After maid service, there were dirty glasses left on the counter. The mirror hadn't been cleaned in the 3 nights we stayed there. There was never enough toilet paper or clean towels. The bathtub plug did not work but was fixed upon calling the front desk.

I was not going to let it wreck my stay....Things I loved ; nice big pool and yay...adult only...and yay I had it to myself most the time!! The pool is private and clean and quiet. Our room was big and clean with a comfy king sized bed overlooking the pool. The first room we viewed had a really bad stinky smell but luckily there was another room available. The young guy at the counter, Dameon, was the only nice staff member I met at the hotel during my 3 day visit. None of the staff ever really greet you too nicely and whenever I asked the front desk for anything like pool towels or extra coffee it really felt like I was inconveniencing them!? very odd, I have never had that happen to me before, I did not feel like a very welcome guest. The gym is a good size, the equipment is a little on the sad side though. Also I don't think the cleaning crew goes in there very often. No towels ever and the machines don't look like they are wiped down....but its not disgusting ...just a little neglected.
And although I am complaining about a couple things it really was a nice hotel and a nice stay.

I have stayed here several times and the staff is always friendly and happy to accomidate. The rooms are spacious and clean with several great restaruants across the street or a short walk away. This last visit was just as enjoyable as my first. They have a hotel shuttle to take shoppers downtown and two pool areas that are well maintained. Yes it's an older hotel but the place is well maintained and much better than other motels in the area that I use to visit in the past. Quiet and relaxing!
