This is the dumpest hotel I have ever been in. You would think with casino across the street they would use some of that money to update this hotel. But they know people will stay just to gamble. As far as resort and mineral water pools that is a joke the smell of clorin was overwhelming I doubt if there is any minerals in the water. I think the whole mineral pool thing is a big scam. I have been here more than once over the years, it's always the same with SCREAMING kids everywhere. While mom & dad off to casino for hours. Sometimes leaving kids alone to play in the pools. I have seen this happen over and over. One 12 year left to take care of 4 smaller kids. They also let in the local people for $5 per family so your resort is the local public pool. And let me tell you the locals DO NOT like you in THEIR pool. This last trip (free comp) my bed was so broken I had to sleep at angle to keep from rolling out of the bed. Everytime I walked around the room the cheap mismatched furniture would shake no joke. You have to wonder how this building would do in a earthquake and they get alot of those out in that area. I know I am from So. Calif. Out side my window over looking the roof of restaurant was a type of animal trap. Comp or not it is a night mare. Oh and lets not forget the drunks sitting around smoking with their coolers of beers. Once again Resort what a joke. Oh and I notice the clientel /locals listening to my conversation to see what your room# is or where you plan to be. Checking in to my room I noticed the bellman had a key the maid had a key and as I was in the room alone a man I assume was a handy man just opened the door and walk right in, glad I was dressed watching t.v. and the t.v. is old and small. Remember no safe in the rooms so watch your valuables but there is a fridg. Not to many people speak english either. Never so glad to leave never to return comp or no comp. My Husband said well we got what we paid for.
p.s. You must park blocks away or pay valet to park over night $12 per night. Have fun!

After an 8 hour journey through heavy traffic from Las Vegas and having read previous reviews, it was a tired and sceptical arrival into Palm Springs. There was no need to worry whatsoever.

Check-in was smooth and fairly quick - in no time we were opening the door to our huge guest room on the fifth floor. Amazingly comfortable bed, large & modern bathroom, and plenty of storage space - no falling over your case during your stay at this place!! To top it all we had a large balcony with great views over Palm Springs - perfect!!

Having lived in Palm Springs 10 years ago this was a definite highlight of our New Year trip to the States - the hotel's location cannot be beaten - 2 minute walk into downtown Palm Springs shop, bars and restaurants on Palm Canyon Drive. Parking on the road is totally free and always plenty of space - if you prefer you can use the hotels valet parking at a charge which is then in a secure parking lot, in my opinion there's not really any point when its free about 10 feet away....!

We didn't use the spa facilities as our stay was relatively short, the pool area has great views through the palms to Mount San Jacinto and is heated perfectly to around 80 degrees. Great cocktails served up at the poolside bar - taste even better while you're relaxing in the mineral rejuvenation spa pool (at 105 degrees just about hot enough to handle!!). Plenty of sun loungers and pool towels available free of charge, whole area kept spotlessly clean and tidy.

Breakfast was included in our rate and is taken over at the Casino (just over the road) - has just about anything you could possibly want (eggs all ways, sausage, bacon, bagels, salmon, spreads, biscuits n gravy, potatoes....even chicken....!!) and all is fantastic quality, all the staff over there are really friendly too. Keep going back as often as you like to refill your plate - had so much one day we didn't eat again until our evening meal. Even at the usual rate of $9.99 the value is superb if you don't have it included in your room rate.

Perfect spot to enjoy the perfect Palm Springs weather - 2nd January enjoying highs of 77 degrees and clear blue skies. Would definitely return and will definitely recommend.

Palm Springs in the fall is wonderful and the Spa Resort is great. With hotel reservation includes the mineral pool and breakfast buffet at the casino, full spa is $20/day, add massage/scrub/facials = life is good.

Weather and location make it easy to walk the area almost any time of day. Nightlife is noisy if one chooses to do that scene. PS and surrounding areas are growing -- there's Target, Michaels and Trader Joe's about 5 mi SW.

One caveat that has nothing to do w/the hotel = I was "phished". Whenever used my debit card, I received a text message saying that my bank was limiting the use of the card and call for more information. I didn't call the number on the text, but phoned the bank directly. They said they'd never send text or email. If something seems unusual, they'll call.

I used cash the rest of the vacation. On the way home I used the card about 75 miles outside of PS and didn't receive a text, so I guess just resort areas are targeted???

Other than that, PS is always a fun getaway and the Spa is a neat place to stay.

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel while attending a conference in Palm Springs. My room on the 4th floor was a non-smoking room with a king size bed and a balcony. I had several meals in the restaurant that were resonably priced and tasty.

We thought the hotel would be nicer. It was quite old, and it had a "80's" feel to it. But the rooms were large and clean. However, since we went there off season, you would think that they could give us a room where our view wasn't a brick wall.

We booked the hotel through hotels.com, and were promised included internet access. But this wasn't the case. They charged us for it, and we could only get one of our laptops online! If the both of us would want to go online, we would have to buy an extra license. Rip off.

The breakfast buffet was nice, though. And we also appreciated the fridge in the room.

And the bartender in the hotel grill made awesome drinks, and was super friendly!
