“Best for the Price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

This is an older PS Lodge, a little rough around the edges but we've had clean rooms and friendly service. Great location and comfortable pool and spa, with no hours! We've had weekend getaways in PS with more expensive rooms and just as rough. Don't expect fancy, lavish accomodations in this price range...it won't happen in Palm Springs. We have been back four/five visits and every visit has been worth the money. We usually book on priceline.com .

“Dirty room and bad customer service, worst hotel I ever stay for a long time.”

Bad experience, I was bit by ticks in the room. Room is not clean. Poor customer service, bad attitude towards customer. When I complained during check out the owner told me nobody complained about the hotel, she probably never checked the reviews online.

“Pleasantly Surprised!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2010

Judging from the cheap price and the exterior, I wasn't expecting much, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The pool was big, there were plenty of chairs, the rooms weren't fancy, but they were clean and had everything we needed (beds were actually comfortable!), there were plenty of stations on the T.V., it was quiet, the location was perfect - not too close and not too far from Downtown, and the staff was super accommodating! They treated us like we were paying $500/nt. It is family owned and operated and they made us feel like part of the family. I am definitely staying at the Desert Lodge next time I'm in Palm Springs.....

“Great Value”

My experience at the Desert Lodge was very good. Don't miss it as it is one among many on that street.

Its, not a 5 star Hotel, so dont expect that. It is however a great value. Its an older building but very well kept and very clean. The room is a good size and well equipped with a fridge, air conditioner, a desk, sufficient lighting and a small TV. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in and the sheets and cases were clean. The washroom is well equipped with towels and other necessities. For those concerned, I saw no insects and believe me I checked. The external facilities include a very clean outdoor pool, sauna, sitting and relaxing area and theres laundry facilities too. Most important, the service was very good, the prices reasonable but competitive and the management very friendly. I will happily stay here again.

“Like sleeping on the streets of Calcutta”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 April 2010

Staying at this place is like sleeping on the streets of Calcutta. Filth, waste, and broken glass everywhere. Horrible smells. The owner says he has a jacuzzi. What he doesn't say is that it's empty, and brown. The towels that could double as sandpaper. I asked for another pillow. The owner told me no. Yes, he's the motel nazi "no pillows for you!." The place is extremely decrepit. The owner is completely clueless. He's rude, crooked (he overcharged us), and mean. Worst. Motel. Ever.
