Stayed here last weekend for my daughter’s cheer competition. This is a very good hotel in a great location. Once you get over the fact that Palm Springs is basically comprised of buildings with 1950’s-70’s era architecture, you can see the quaintness of this hotel within that context. It reminded me of the Brady Bunch with the low facades, central courtyard w/pool and palms, and dated stylishness. The room was large with a nice sized balcony overlooking the pool area, perfect for enjoying a cocktail while star-gazing through the palm trees. Where else can you do that on a winter night? Location is one street off the main strip, one block from a Starbucks, & one block from the Convention Center, making it convenient to walk there and leave the car parked. The on-site bar and restaurant were adequate and not crowded. Beds were cozy and comfortable. The only complaint was the old boxy TV, but we didn’t watch it much and it went with the 70’s style of the place. For Palm Springs, you can’t do much better than this quaint old-school Hilton.
