“Hotel Zoso is one of our favorite spots!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I was very surprised to read that a few visitors did not enjoy an exceptional stay at Hotel Zoso.

I had my wedding reception at the Zoso in 2007, and granted it was a small/intimate affair, the facilities, staff, and overall experience made it feel like a grand event. My guests were very pleased and impressed with our venue selection and many said they would come back for a stay.

The location, smack in the middle of downtown Palm Springs is superb. The beautifully appointed rooms with up to date amenities rival most high end hotels in Vegas. The pool area is modern and very inviting and I just can't enough of the contemporary furnishings and art throughout the property.

During all of our stays we've been met by extremely friendly and very professional staff. Lisa, took care of all the details of my wedding reception like a true pro - granted she had been working with the Hotel for only a few short weeks.

Any time we have an opportunity to visit Palm Springs we stop by the Zoso - in fact we're headed there next week and are looking forward to having a great time.

Room Tip: Request a pool room. The view is fantastic!

“Just OK could have stayed at Comfort Inn...”

and be just as pleased. Just Average. It had nice amenities. We didn't stay long enough to use them so I could not rate them. It was a quiet resting place. The wi-fi didn't work, the key to the bar was lost, so no drinks. The dining food was edible and the service was ok in the dining area. The workers were not very enthusiastic at the front desk. There was no remote for the fan on our patio so we could not turn it off. They're reply was "oh well." This was just a so-so experience.

“Poor service”

I will never stay at this hotel again. First, upon arrival they could not find my reservation and made me wait a half an hour before they could figure it out and get my room. Then i find out their WiFi doesn't work after 4 phone calls to the front desk. The staff was of no help. They told me to come sit in the lobby and do my work. Mind you they charge a $15.00 service fee, but the Wifi does not work. I alfo tried to order room service but the girl seemed to busy to take my order and stated it would be at least 1 hour before I could get my order. Overall the rooms are spacious and the location is great, but due to poor service I will never stay at hotel zoso again.

Dear Jon 1820,

Let me apologize for our complete breakdown in service during your recent visit to Hotel Zoso.

It is very disconcerting to hear that one of of our valued guests has had a poor experience and frankly, we are embarrassed.

I greatly appreciate you bringing these problems to my attention. You have my promise that I will be meeting with our team to determine the origin of the problems and institute corrective action immediately.

Over the summer we had installed many upgrades to our wi-fi and there has been a demonstrable improvement in the service but it appears that there are areas of the property that do not receive the proper signal. We will identify the areas which are weak and proceed to make the proper enhancements.

With regard to your room service, there is no excuse. We simply did not respond in an acceptable manner and we are very sorry.

I know, based on your experience, we do not deserve your future business but I hope you will give us another chance.

I assure you that your next visit will be markedly improved.

We hope to deserve your continued patronage.

“Near everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This hotel is fairly old like most things in Palm Springs but the refit makes it still a pleasant place to stay. It's a bit annoying to pay resort charges for basic items and one of these was hotel wifi which didn't work while we were there, despite a call to the front desk who could not help. The outdoor fire pit is great to sit around and have a drink and this hotel is walking distance to all the local are galleries and restaurants. The hotel was well priced and the staff were friendly.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool room. The court yard overlooks a rather nice pool area.

Dear Mr. Patten,

Thanks so much for taking the time to convey your comments on your recent visit to Palm Springs and Hotel Zoso.

We greatly appreciate your kind comments on our friendly staff and the excellent value that Hotel Zoso provides for our guests.

The fire pit is awesome for a cocktail or glass of wine during our cool winter evenings and our location is the best for those looking to visit all the shops, restaurants and other activities which are just outside our front door.

I thank you for your constructive comments on the difficulty you experienced with the wireless in room 131 and I will follow up with Mike, our Chief Engineer, to determine what corrective measure need to be taken.

You are right, the poolside rooms are fantastic, especially with the great views of the San Jacinto mountains !

On your next visit, please try Palm Springs "Best Beakfast", in Olivz, where our registered guests receive a 50% discount!!!!!

We look forward to your return visit.

Cheers

“Nice Hotel, Convenient to Downtown”

Got a great rate for a one night stay here. Rooms are large in this 1970s era hotel. Property has been completely remodeled and is modern and contemporary. It's close to restaurants... all walkable. Pool and hot tub area is so-so, and the cabana rentals are $100 (ouch!).
