“If you don't have fun- It's your own fault”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Arriving to the property was like driving into the scene from Thunder Dome. Fantastic property with a very interesting outside.

Loved the Lobby and the staff was impressive in fulfilling the needs of the guests.

When the reservation was made it was known it was an anniversary stay. The Staff went out of their way to give us a nice room with a view of the pool terrace.

The smiles and courteous manners of all the staff make this a 5 Star property in my book.

The Decor is modern- meaning the 60's to now. Fabulous for someone who likes interesting pieces of art and non standard amenities.

The Restaurant was good also- Breakfast all 4 days were provided to us with smiles and generosity of portion size and value price.

THe "Guest Business Office" could use a bit of an upgrade but the machines in the gym were in working order.

"Resort Fees" are a bit bogus- but hey- everyone's doing it in California.

Dear kevinlydot,

Thanks so much for your kind and thoughtful comments on your recent visit to Hotel Zoso!

Our designer will be delighted to hear your comments on our lobby as we too think it has a great sense of arrival.

Of course, our staff, who we believe is the best in Palm Springs, goes out of there way to make our guests feel right at home.

Marcie, who leads our reservations team, is always very concerned about selecting a special room for "special occasions" and we are glad you enjoyed our fantastic pool view rooms. (great views of the San Jacinto mountains as well).

I am so glad you had the opportunity to avail yourselves of the "best breakfast in Palm Springs", in Olivz, where our registered guests enjoy a 50% discount!!!!

I also appreciate your constructive comments on our business center and will look at this area in detail to determine how we can improve the experience for our guests.

From the entire team at Zoso, we greatly appreciate your patronage and can't wait for your next visit.

Cheers

“GREAT HOTEL IN DOWNTOWM PALM SPRINGS CA.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

If you want a get away to Palm Springs and do not care about golf or tennis, you must consider the Hotel Zoso. It is just minutes from the Palm Springs airport and is situated a block from all the great shops, theaters and night life. The staff are very friendly and professional - the rooms are clean, great beds (and showers) and TV's and awesome views of the mountains surrounding Palm Springs. Although the outdoor pool is not extremely large, it offers an outdoor bar, hot tub and a fire pit which is great at night. Private cabanas can be rented from the front desk is you desire. The hotel is also just 2 blocks from Palm Springs only downtown casino. The casino action is Vegas style and has a fantastic steak house. Hotel Zoso offers a great breakfast menu too. The breakfast is not complimentary but is 50% off for guests - well worth the price!! So, if you just want to take in the glamourous and beautiful city of Palm Springs and perhaps hang at the pool and/or gamble a little, you must consider the Hotel Zoso - had a great three day weekend and will return to the same hotel next time we visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool side room

Dear TomR,

We greatly appreciate you affording us the pleasure of serving you on your recent visit to Palm Springs and Hotel Zoso.

We are delighted that you had the opportunity to experience our fantastic location (everything you want to see and do in Palm Sprngs is just moments from our front door), charming and helpful staff, spotlessly clean rooms (I am glad you enjoyed the shower as we have just replaced every shower head in our guest rooms), and terrific mountain views.

As you noted, our pool is very cozy with a very intimate fire pit for our cool winter nights and with the casino directly next door to us you can enjoy the nightlife and excitement of casino gaming without having to drive to Las Vegas.

Our restaurant, Olivz, serves the best breakfast in Palm Springs and offers our registered guests a 50% discount. I am glad you enjoyed!!

We are so happy that you had the opportunity to take advantage of all the great things that Palm Springs has to offer.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Wow. . .I just returned from a trip to Palms Springs with girlfriends and wanted to comment on what a fabulous place Hotel Zoso was. . .the room and bathroom were extremely large, and all rooms had balconies. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and jacuzzi and the food at the hotel was awesome. The hotel is located in the downtown area of Palm Springs and is in walking distance of a ton of restaurants, shops and even gambling casinos. I have never seen such happy, nice, accomodating and competent hotel staff members. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Room Tip: I stayed on the street side as opposed to the pool side. . .I think the balconies on the street side...

It is terrific to hear that you enjoyed our spacious and comfortable guest rooms (the bathrooms are a great size) and the location, right in the center of downtown Palm Springs, is the best for those who want to enjoy all the great restaurants, shops and attractions (Casino) that Palm Springs has to offer.

I thank you for recognizing the wonderful staff, we are so lucky to have, at Hotel Zoso.

Without exception, they embrace the word "service" and take great pride in ensuring that each and every one of our guests is comfortable and well cared for.

I hope that on your next visit to Palm Springs you will afford us the pleasure of serving you once again.

“Not quite up to par”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Feel that this hotel needs to try a little harder!
Furnishings in our room were showing their age and could use a good cleaning, cushions on the pool furniture were stained and gross. The entire place has a feeling of being tired and we found it to be slightly depressing. I do have to say that the breakfast was delicious and the dining staff was great.

Dear Sandiegosurfer273,

I apologize for the belated response.

After reading your comments I walked to the pool to inspect the cushions at the pool and couldn't agree with you more.

We have not done a good job on keeping up on the cleaning of these brand new pool cushions.

We have placed a call to the manufacturer to seek advice on the proper chemicals to be used in this process and will be embarking on this cleaning initiative immediately

Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. We are also working on a number of other projects to refresh the look of the property.

Our Food and Beverage Manager, Alysa, and her team will be thrilled to hear your comments on breakfast. They work so hard and believe that the breakfast we serve is the best in Palm Springs and remember..... our registered guests receive a 50% discount!

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to serve you.

We hope to see you next time you are in Palm Springs.

Cheers

“Excellent Location - Great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

I visited Palm Springs for the first time this past weekend with my partner. A friend recommended that we stay at Zoso, and we were very glad we did. We took our pup along with us as Hotel Zoso is pet friendly with a $50 pet fee per stay. It was great to be able to have the little guy there with us! The location of the hotel absolutely couldn't be better. You can walk to pretty much all of the shops and restaurants in downtown Palm Springs. The rooms are nicely updated with modern decor, and the bed was super comfy. There were definitely noticeable signs of wear and tear on some of the furniture and decor (large painting on the wall in our room had a large puncture tear in it), but overall we were satisfied.
Harold, the bartender at the bar in the lobby was great, and offered advice on places to see and dine. The bar has a great happy hour to kick start your evening as well.
If you don't feel like paying $15 per night to valet, there is free street parking behind the hotel, when available.
We ordered room service for breakfast one morning, which was pretty good but nothing spectacular and not really worth what we paid for it. Apparently, if you go downstairs to dine for breakfast there is a discount for guests, which I would say would be a better option!
Overall, we had a really good experience here and would absolutely stay here again. If nothing else, the convenience of the location makes up for any shortcomings!

Room Tip: It's worth it to pay a little extra here for a room with a pool view. Parking lot view rooms are...

Dear Justin S,

Thanks so much for your valuable feedback from your recent visit to Palm Springs and Hotel Zoso!!!

We are so delighted to hear that we took good care of you, your partner and your pup (We so enjoy playing host to our furry friends as they are an integral part of the family).

I greatly appreciate your constructive comments on room service and the wear and tear you noticed on some of the furniture. I have spoken with Mike, our Chief Engineer, and we are identifying the corrective measures to improve these deficiencies immediately.

I agree that our 50% discount on breakfast in Olivz, for our registered guests, is a fantastic benefit and most of our guests are taking advantage of this terrific offering.

Covered and secured parking is available for $15 per night but there is normally parking available on the parcels located to the North, East and South of the property.

I am so happy that you had the opportunity to meet Harold, our lead bartender, who takes such pride in providing warm, friendly and caring service to our guests. He is truly a gem and thank you for recognizing his efforts.

I certainly hope you afford us the pleasure of serving you on your next visit to Palm Springs!!!

Cheers
