I needed a getaway on short notice and Paul was good enough to handle it for me!
I arrived and ended up in one of the new redone rooms.
My flight arrived at 11:00 am and I was able to check in early!
The bathrooms are great and new, new carpeting and nice closet area. It just feels good to stay at a gay resort that feels a cut above the rest.
This private compound allowed me to swim and lay by the pool without anything to worry about.
I relaxed and the pool is very very clean!
Their were men around the pool area and were alone.
I will make another trip to The Desert Bear in a few weeks.
You do get all the beer, soda and water you want for free, as well.
Paul and Denny are still GREAT HOSTS!

What a great vacation! From the minute we set foot on the property we felt comfortable. Paul any Denny are great guys, gave us a tour of the property, made sure all of our requests we fulfilled. The renovated rooms look great, most have been completed to date. They are working furiously to make further upgrades, even to the exterior. This is not the Ritz, but a nice clean place to relax. Continental breakfast is served in the morning. We found ourselves only leaving the property to have lunch and dinner. We thought the hot tub was a little warm and Denny immediately adjusted the temperature. Can't say enough nice things about the owners. We will be back! Bill/Loren

This wonderful place afforded me some quiet time I so needed. The hosts were more than available to help me in any need or question I had. From the compound itself to what seems like the great and friendly guys that are regulars, I will surely return. Thanks again Paul and Denny.
