All the rooms are two-bedroom, two bath. One room has two single beds, perfect for our daughter. The "master" has a one king size. It was a really large king size.
The TV in the bedroom was not flat screen. At least, I don't think it was. The one in the living room may have been.
The master bathroom was tiny. Just a shower stall. My husband did not like it. It's good for short people. The main bathroom was better.
The front staff were fine. But then we aren't demanding a lot of stuff. We had enough towels for the three of us. Not the biggest or best quality of towels. The pool is heated. But we did not use it since it was around mid-60's most of our time there.
The kitchen is a good size with everything you need. The only thing missing was a baking sheet, and I was able to improvise. Made several breakfasts and dinners there.
You have to stick your card key in the wall while you're there to keep the electricity going. It's some kind of energy saver thing out in the desert. We've stayed at other places that had a similar arrangement. I guess they do not want you to leave the a/c running while you're not actually in the room. One night the heat went off and it was very cold there. We could never figured out what happened. We had heat the rest of our time there, just one night.
There's no elevators so you have to haul everything up stairs, but it's not too bad. Loved, loved the free wifi. I was able to get a bit of work done on my vacay, Most places charge you for the wifi. I think this is one of the best amenities.
There's lots to do in the area - shopping the outlets (all day), Indian Canyons (easily all day or half day), Air Museum (couple of hours), walk "downtown", Living Botanical Gardens (excellent and all day), aerial tram (half day). And there's always the Thursday evening "art" stroll. It's always interesting. You can always go gambling, but since we usually have a minor with us, we don't usually get a chance to hit the casinos. Vacation Villas have free passes for the Palm Springs museum.
Ate at John's, decent breakfast food and a couple of other places. Most of the food places on the main "strip" will be overpriced for the tourists. Go just street over and you will find better food with better prices.
Palm Springs is good for a nice relaxing vacation. Not the most exciting place in the world but a nice place for down time.
Vacation Villas is perfectly fine. It's like staying in an apartment building, definitely not a high-end resort. But the economy being what it is. That's fine.
