This was our first visit both to Palm Springs and to the Chase Hotel and we loved our 2-week stay at this hotel. We had a double room with kitchenette on the main floor; the decor is retro, but it was a large comfortable room which was kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff. We enjoyed all the amenities mentioned by previous reviewers, including the heated salt water pool, the excellent continental breakfast, daily newspapers, afternoon cookies and the use of a computer in the lobby with free internet. Our friends have admired our photos of the grapefruit trees by the pool and it was great to try the fruit as well as to sample the freshly picked grapefruit brought in by the owner from his trees. The hotel is exceptionally well located, just a block away from an excellent selection of restaurants on Palm Canyon Drive, but far enough away to be quiet and have a lovely mountain view. As first time visitors to Palm Springs, we were very grateful for all the friendly advice, information and help that the staff at the front desk gave us.
