Got a great deal on a King suite (5A) and had to take the chance. The room was pretty spacious with a very cool interior and decent amenities. The al fresco shower was a nice touch, though the cool winter nights meant it wasn't used more than once.
By and large, the property is in amazing condition. The paint in the suite could have used some touch up, we could hear neighbors when standing by the "junction" doors that allow suites to be expanded (this is not uncommon at any hotel with this feature) and the "casting couch" area needed a good steam cleaning (this is why I won't give 5 stars), but EVERYTHING else was immaculate.
The breakfast options got a little limited after five days, but hey -- it was included and a great way to start the day, especially while served in bed. At night, wrapping up an evening with champagne in the spa (in plastic cups, of course) put a really great cap on laid-back Palm Springs days.
Service was terrific when needed. Unobtrusive when not.
I will definitely book again when headed to Palm Springs.
