My husband and I visited this hotel for one night in October for a little getaway. (We're from L.A)
We had a good experience, but would probably stay closer to "the action" in Palm Springs next time.
We were given a ground floor room overlooking a courtyard and the pool. The room had hard wood floor which was kind of unique. The paint in the bath tub had seen better days, and it was an older style tube TV... but other than that everything else felt modern and clean.
We used the jacuzzi in the evening and the chlorine smell was extremely strong...In the morning we used it again and it wasn't so bad though.
Breakfast is included and they give you 2 vouchers to turn in. They have a limited menu with made to order items. The food was good but I felt a little pressured that I wouldn't be able to make any changes or substitutions. So basically my option was healthy or not healthy. I couldn't have pancakes and fruit, for example. It was either pancakes and sausage/bacon or fruit and cereal. But hey - it's free - so I shouldn't really complain (I went with the unhealthy and it tasted great). We sat outside under a pretty boganvilla tree so it was very pleasant.
Ultimately - the hotel met our needs, but wasn't anything spectacular. I'm happy with that though. There are plenty of hotels in the area that looked run down and sketchy so if I wanted to go to Palm Dessert again and was on a budget I would consider the Best Western Plus.
Room Tip: Request a room facing the Courtyard/pool. They have balconies.
