I was in town last week for the first time in about 5 years. I stopped by to have coffee and say hello to Avril, the amazing breakfast waitress who served me and my business clients 10 times or more on my last visit. The restaurant was closed, the furniture all piled up with no sign of any renovations taking place. It's a beautiful location for a restaurant and a shame that it's sitting there empty. It will be tricky for whoever reopens it to overcome it's horrendous reputation resulting from the way that it was run by the previous owner.

I found the hotel to be clean and nice, however, with the renovations and new management, things weren't quite "ready". For the price we paid it was decent. I was not impressed with the "continental breakfast". They had store wrapped pastries and a bowl of fruit. The room was clean and nice and the jacuzzi was awesome. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. I am looking forward to going back to the resort when all of the renovations are complete and the restaurant is back open. I would definitely give this hotel another chance. The staff was very kind and we were allowed a late check out without an extra charge. Can't wait to see all the new renovations in the summer!

when we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the front desk woman, her name is Rose Head, she was very helpful when we were looking for a restaurant to eat, she gave us a list of restaurants she had at her front desk.

We walked on the beautiful beach, it was so fun. I would defiantly recommend this hotel.

I'm writing a review about this hotel as it is under new management.
Before that I always left the place with laughter with my friend from out of town whom we've stayed there number of times.The place was going downhill fast,unkept,no bed sheets in the bed,quite seedy looking place.The kids at the reception were eating bowl of cereal while having their feet on the desk playing computer games.Well, the place is now changed it's being renovated with a fresh coat of paint,new fixtures in the room,ice machines are working,pool will be working,meeting rooms to be booked for business.I have always refered a friend of mine to stay here when in town.Now we always leave with a big smile on our faces rather then laughter.Enjoy the hot tub with candle & bath soaps you'll feel refreshed.
Then you have scenic Linda Mar Beach across the Highway along with a good view of Pedro Point. The hotel has a restaurant that is being renovated as well the rooms are queen or king size beds with a/c heater television, mini-fridge some have microwaves.The rooms in the hotel have showers yet most have jacuzzi's as well(not all the rooms have the jacuzzi) with toiletries .Hotel is close to Linda Mar Shopping Center along with a mini-market just outside the premises of the hotel.At time of writing the hotel may not be idyllic for some as they are doing a lot of touch-up work around the premises yet ask the manager for a discount as we have you'll be surprised.I'm glad to see a hotel in my hometown/neighborhood that I grew up in take pride in itself with the right combination of things happening this place will be recognized with great memories by many who stay here.
