My wife and I stayed here on the Veteran's Day Weekend. These are good basic accommodations at a value price...61.99 for a King plus applicable taxes. The rooms are nicely done, dated, but still nice. Our room was clean with a micro wave and free WiFi. They have a continental breakfast: juice,coffee,pastries,waffles,fruit,toast.The USA TODAY is available in the office. It's about five miles away from Monterey, Cannery Row and the Aquarium which is a big plus for me... away from the hustle and bustle and the countless sweatshirt stores. Two miles from Pacific Grove downtown with shops and restaurants at a much slower pace and minutes to the Pacific Ocean. Caters to all types. maid service is timely and efficient as was the desk help. Overall, if you want to do this area on a budget this is a solid choice...Lord knows there are plenty of options in this area if you really want to blow up your American Express card. Check in 3PM, check out 11AM. Only downside, this was my first trip down here where I did not see any deer roaming around Pacific Grove.

This is a nice inn, just out of Montery. Therefor cheaper, but restaurants are in walking distance. Rooms are ok, got all the amenities you'll need. Perfect for a night over, if you're traveling further the next morning.

Debated for a while between 3 and 4 stars. Good location, friendly staff. Room clean, unique vacation-theme decoration, tiled bathroom, energy-saving light bulbs throughout. Caters to families with children, less to business travel. Room with microwave and fridge, slight slope in floor. Antitheft coathangers. Walls on the thin side, but amazingly quiet night, good rest, and comfortable (firm) king bed. Breakfast had orange juice, oranges&apples, no bananas, 2 cereals, toast, waffles, styrofoam and plastic. Rooms equipped with porcelaine cups and real water glasses. Rate posted on door was "from $89 to $399". Can be recommended.

First thing we noticed when we walked into the room was that the bed was higher at the foot than at the head. When we mentioned this to the manager, she told us it would be fixed or they would move us to another room. When we returned the bed looked level until you sat on it. Then it bowed in the middle and was still not level. When we mentioned this again she became very rude and denied there was a problem. After much hassle we were moved to another room. It was very comfortable. Rooms were very clean and updated. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer, etc. We would recomend that you check the bed out completely before renting.
