This was not our favorite B&B.

First, here's the positive: the location. It's within walking distance to the aquarium and restaurants. Views from the rooms are just breathtaking. The freshly-baked cookies they leave for guests overnight are just so delicious.

BUT...

The beds and pillows were just so uncomfortable -- and I can sleep just about anywhere and on anything. My husband and I woke up multiple times both nights complaining of neck and back pain (and we're 30 years old!). It's sad, but we were really excited to be leaving so we could move on to a good night's sleep at a different hotel.

The breakfasts left a lot to be desired. It was left out so guests could serve themselves -- the eggs were cold and my husband is still complaining that there was no sausage or bacon (probably better off for him!). I just didn't like that the bagels, breads, etc. were all white-flour, processed, frozen/refrigerated-type. I don't think it would have hurt to have a few slices of whole wheat bread in the basket. I'm just sayin'...

I know some reviewers mentioned the shared bathrooms in the main house. We were fortunate to have one of the few rooms in the main house with a private bathroom (the Jennifer Room), which was very much appreciated.

Overall, the location was my favorite aspect of this B&B. It needs some refreshing and new beds and pillows. If you have back or neck problems, consider looking elsewhere.

stayed in carriage house. nice comfortable king size bed w good bath (2 sinks), and everything worked well. spacious sitting room area w fireplace and working TV/Cable/DVD player. very nice jacuzzi soaking tub. there were a couple of minuses - major problem is the bright light outside the door/window which shines right into the bedroom, makes it hard to sleep. there is no way to dim it and they do not have light blocking shades on the windows. the room also smelled a little musty. tiny, small little coffee maker, and no extra coffee packets and no refrigerator for wine/cheese.

We stayed one night for our 25th anniversary trip. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The evening appetizers and sherry were a very nice touch. The little "extras" at this inn made it a wonderful stay not to mention the breathtaking view of the ocean.

It's a very romantic old Victorian house arranged as an Inn. We arrived in the afternoon and we found a rose with a welcome card on our bed. More, there were home made biscuits and other nice light food in the living room of the house. The housemaid was vey gentle with us and helped us to find a restaurant for dinner.
In the morning there was a self service breakfast with a good choice of food that we had at a table close to a window watching the ocean.
The only negative thing was the shared bathroom.
