I was so looking forward to staying here since I always read about Ho Jo's when I was growing up.
So my husband asks for a handicapped room for me ~ gets all checked and and we go to the room. The air doesn't work and we have to have some sort of air. So the check in guy "Mit" tells us that the only other room available was right upstairs. REALLY?? It's Tuesday, there's 3 cars in the WHOLE FRIGGIN' lot and there's only ONE other room we can have and it's upstairs?? REALLY? Yes really! I couldn't believe it. Without boring you with details we were stuck at this place.
Now ~ we had asked for an hour later checkout at 12pm.....not a problem according to "Mit"....only it was. We got a call at 9am telling us checkout was at 11. I advised the person we asked for and were granted a late checkout at 12 ~ I was told if I paid $39 I could stay the extra hour ~~~ WHAAAAAT? First of all I have NEVER in my whole hotel/motel staying experiences have I EVER been called two hours before checkout to tell what time I needed to check out. Secondly, it's in writing on our reciept that we could check out at 12! I asked for their corporate number and the "manager" "John" told me to get it off the internet and then HUNG UP ON ME! So I called corporate and got a case going regarding this horrid stay. I also am filing a complaint for discrimination against handicapped persons. There was no reason to put us on the second floor when it was VERY obvious the motel was empty!
