“Not the best”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2011

OK first the few good points about this hotel:

1) Very friendly staff
2) Very close to the mall

But the bad points far out weigh the good.

This is a very noisy hotel – PERIOD.

Noise from the I-10 Freeways (afew hundred yards away with large trucks going 24/7. Noise from the mall access road & finally noise from within the hotel. It’s just not a place to get a good nights sleep.

The beds are fine but the rooms are sad, run down & need a very good cleaning or better still renovating. Motel 6 OK but a Hampton Inn?

There is far too many other newer & better properties around Ontario Mills you don’t need to stay here (I will not).

“Great stay for the money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2010

My wife and I used this hotel for 2 nights and I think we only spent a combined 16 hours in it. We flew into LAX at 10 PM and it was about an hour drive to the hotel. The neighborhood is very nice and SAFE. I felt like I could walk to the car and not worry about my safety. There are some nice restaurants and a mall practically on the same premises. I booked this through Hotels.com and got it for $65/night. So, for that kind of money, it was well worth it.

The free breakfast was very good and even the coffee was great...saved me $2 each morning from not going to Starbucks. The staff was very nice as well.

Yes, the walls seem thin and you can hear the water running anytime someone close by flushes their toilet, but we were on the first floor so it may be better on a higher floor. But again, for $65/night, you can't beat it!

“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2008

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on a Friday night on our way to Palm Springs. we found out Friday morning that our flight to Ontario would be late so we called the front desk to let them know we would be checking in late. The person at the front desk acknowledged our problem and proceeded to check us in over the phone and told us that the keys to the room would be waiting for us when we arrived. They also got us the room closest to the front door as they knew we would be tired so we wouldn't have to walk very far. Such a surprise to deal with someone so polite and courteous and helpful.
When we arrived the keys were waiting and since the paperwork was already done we were checked in and headed to our room in under 2 minutes! 5 Star service from the help as far as I am concerned.
As for the room. It was very spacious and easily accommodated my wife, daughter and myself. The beds were very comfortable and I think it was the best sleep we had on our entire vacation.
The complimentary breakfast was very good with hot sausage and French Toast to go with other pastries and dry goods.
A very nice, clean comfortable hotel.
This is as high a 3 star hotel that you will find. If it had a gourmet restaurant and room service it would be a 4+ star hotel.
I have stayed in all the hotels along the Ontario Mills Mall and this is by far the best and also the best deal.
I will be more than happy to come back again. Not only do I enjoy this hotel but the service has completely won me over. Staying here is like shopping at Nordstrom's.
This was the perfect stay to start our vacation.

“Bad stay”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2007

I stayed here four nights and can say this is probably one of the worst Hampton's I've ever stayed at. Despite the fact the hotel is a new property there is absolutely no insulation between the rooms. I was on the second floor and I could hear the footsteps from the third floor which sounded more like stomps from late afternoon until late in the evenings. My room also faced Milliken Avenue, and yes the windows were paper thin so I noticed every truck and motorcycle that went by . I could also hear the television late in the evening from the adjoining rooms.

The internet access provided in the room is NOT wi-fi, it's a cable connection which I had a lot of problems with. The breakfast was sparse. And the hot entree they offered was often cold. Not nearly the quality or selection what you get at other Hampton's.

So unless you're deaf and aren't planning on having the breakfast, do yourself a favor and spend a little more and stay at the Hilton Garden Inn on the other side of the mall. This place [--].

“Fluffy comforters”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2007

Stayed at the Hampton Inn near the Ontario airport, but there was no airport shuttle. Rooms were a bit small with some awkwardness between the entrance door and bathroom door in the regular rooms. No refrigerators in the standard rooms either. Lots of pillows and a puffy comforter though. Free continental breakfast, but we got there after 9am and had to wait for the staff to re-stock the fresh fruit cocktail, eggs and coffee. The hotel is practically in the parking lot of the Ontario Mills mall/outlet, if you like to shop. You have to park in the mall parking lot with a permit if the small hotel lot is full, but we weren't informed of that when we checked in. There is a pool and hot tub and a small fitness center with 3 pieces of equipment. AAA discount made it a better value.

  • Liked — pillows and comforters
